This is from today's #WCWS game. This was ruled a base hit when it happened (you can see the 'H' pop up), but was changed to a missed catch error by the first baseman at the bottom of the fourth. This is an impossible catch for the first baseman with a ball thrown from that angle, that hard. This throw has to be to the glove, and while it's not a wild throw, it's low enough that the first baseman cannot get her glove around it in time. This is where replay gets you in trouble. The slo-mo replay makes it look like it's a catchable ball, but it isn't. In real time, at live speed, this isn't an error. This isn't a missed catch or a drop. I was loving the call of a single, especially because it was the first hit, and then, when it was changed, it felt like it was to protect a no-hitter. Everything about this screams "above ordinary effort" ... I would have left this as a single.

Timing Based Catching has a TON of mixed reactions for College Football 27 So... I figured I'd clear the air... This is a GREAT add This takes the old system, lets you still use it, and adds "Skill Gap" on top If you get a "Yellow" Catch, it's the same as previous years Get a "Green"? You'll catch it, UNLESS the Defense touches the ball first, or they get a Perfect Hit on you Get a "Red".... you'll drop it. BUT, Reds only happen when you hold onto the Meter for too long AND... If you HATE the idea... you can turn the Meter Off! AND... You can do this on Defense which is awesome

Congratulations to the SpaceX Falcon team on an incredible day: another successful Falcon Heavy launch from the East Coast, followed by a sunset Starlink launch from the West Coast. I was lucky enough to catch both launches in person. Long day, but absolutely worth it.

Last week a verified reporter messaged me about my startup. Here is how I caught her faking her whole identity to get to me. Founders get messages like this all the time and most just say yes. Once you are on the call the person is really there to pull confidential details or to build a profile they can use later.
