Super dumb. Why’d he expect to see light across the electromagnetic spectrum with a regular telescope? The photo he’s comparing it to with the “flames” is from completely different wavelengths. You need specialized instruments to capture those.

Look into dedicated Hydrogen-Alpha telescopes. Apples and oranges.

Black spots, cooling plasma.. the little hair looking thongs around the outside are turbulence.. also, if you stare at a bicycle lighter flame under a magnifying glass it looks like a bright light...but guess what? It's fire..!!
