Both ways are proved by Ulama , people touching hands first are also fine and even those who touch knees first

This is an issue of dispute among scholars as regards which of the camel's legs are its knees.

The scholars have differed as to how one should go down in sujood, whether one should go hands first or knees first. According to the Hanafis, Shaafais and one opinion narrated from Imām Ahmad, the person who is praying should go down on his knees first, then on his hands.

Usually the camel goes down on its hind legs then the fore logs. Hadith also says same. You may see some rafidis who sit down then prostrate from standing position. Also there is fatawa from Shekh Bin Baz on going down knee first is fine.

"THE sunnah way" that's already a big mistake. There's a kheelaf on that question, and you're not going to resolve it in 2024. That's what we call a kheelaf mu3tabar. Just follow your opinion and that's it. There is no INKAR on that question
