The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians debuted on this day in 1985. Also known as Super Friends VIII, it was the shortest season with only 8 episodes.

Show was my introduction to Firestorm and Cyborg.

Of course it was the shortest season. Lex Luthor only appeared in one episode. At least they got Frank Welker to also voice Joker. Peter Cullen was said to have been the one who voiced Felix Faust and Robert Morse was said to have voiced Penguin.

Should’ve had a few more seasons….maybe Darkseid and The Legion of Doom joining forces and having The Super Powers Team add Green Arrow and Black Canary to their roster!

Loved it. The Royal Flush Gang episode was just plain fun.

Never knew that one existed into Amazon had the entire run on Prime... I'm just gonna have to buy the whole series on DVD because it bounces all over and me and little dude still like to watch it 👍🏻

Wasn’t the Batman & Scarecrow episode the pilot for a Batman series that lead to Batman: The Animated Series?

Was that the season when they got Adam West to do Batman's voice?

I loved this show. In N.Y.C. it aired on ABC (Ch.7) My favorite episode was CRIME ALLEY. The Scarerow managed to put actual fear in BATMAN having him relive his parent's unfortunate demise. This show also gave us CYBORG. Good ol Saturday Morning cartoons.

This was my first dc cartoon. And my intro to a ton of characters. It was so awesome.

I remember when this debuted, and I was MAD. I hated it.

This show undersold Darkseid.

By the time this season started, I was collecting comics, and it was my 1st introduction to Cyborg. I was "so, who is this Cyborg person?" and tracked down the Teen Titan comics. And after that 1st issue, I was HOOKED!
