Yesterday ex-Bungie exec Martin O’Donnell who successfully sued #Bungie for unpaid wages and stock ownership, did an interview with Act Man about Bungie's recent woes. He implied Bungie CEO Pete Parsons and the #Microsoft corporate ethos and management style he comes from, was to blame. Martin expands on how Pete Parsons hasn't been at Bungie for decades, and was originally a Microsoft Marketing Executive who was brought in as Studio Manager for Bungie, but left during Bungie's negotiations for independence away from Microsoft. He was not involved in any of Halo 3's production. Unbeknownst to Martin, Pete didn't actually leave the company when he left, instead went back to an executive role at Microsoft. Pete Parsons was brought back in as Marketing Head in an exec role at Bungie around 2009. Over the coming years other executives got fired while Pete eventually went on to assume the top CEO role at Bungie in 2016, just before the release of Destiny 2. Exit velocity, bat speed, and all the data matter. At some point, you do need to hit certain physical thresholds to compete at the highest levels of baseball. But once you get around players who are all talented, the separator usually isn’t another 2 mph of bat speed. It’s mental toughness. Resilience. Confidence. The ability to handle failure. Having a consistent approach. Showing up every day. Competing when things aren’t going your way. The numbers might get you noticed. Your mindset is what determines how far you go. I’ve seen plenty of players with elite metrics fail, and plenty of players with average metrics maximize every ounce of their ability because of who they were between the ears. Train the body. Don’t neglect the mind.

Collin Bland’s (Collin Bland) BP is must watch. Just pokes balls out all over the field. Lives through the middle consistently with the ball coming off the bat with effortless force. Broke the Prep Baseball Super 60 average exit velocity record back in February, while coming in 2nd overall in max exit velocity ever for the event. Batting .415 with a .652 OBP, and a 1.384 OPS on the season. Also has an absurd 41 BB to just 7 K’s. Must watch talent at the state tournament this week in Murfreesboro #TNHS26 // Shooter Hunt

Arteta on the players battling a physical strain: “Yes, but when I see them track back, when we lose the ball and the habits that they have, it's just amazing. That's why I know what they are doing, these players. There is a reason why we are the only English team in the competition, because this league and this schedule takes the hell out of you and it's very difficult to do what we've done. “We are not perfect, we need to improve things, that's for sure, we recognise that, but let's value what these players have done because they deserve it.”

Cheryl Reeve on what they identified in scouting to see Olivia Miles as one of the two players that the Lynx identified having a “generational skill” “What I said on draft night is that there were two players that had generational skills, I would now classify her(Miles) as a generational talent… I think it’s really easy to identify great passing because there’s not a lot of players that are great at it so instinctually so. And then with Azzi(Fudd) the quick release her actions and scoring the basketball, you know, incredibly valuable… I think in the scouting process when you can repeat something over and over and over again and has been doing so in Livs case for a long time, it’s just a matter of can you figure out the pro game in terms of pace and physicality and all the stuff that goes with it, and that’s the part you don’t know… we thought for sure she’d be a really good back up point guard(laughing)”
