Shout out to David Yewdall, the sound effects designer, who absolutely hit it out of the park alongside all the other astounding practical effects in this masterpiece…! 🦠

The Thing remake is a masterpiece in every sense of the word. They don't make them like that anymore.

Rob Bottin

My fave of all time 💯🤘😎😎🤘💯💯😎💯🤘

Did Palmer know he himself was The Thing? Why turn and draw attention to his head-crab brother scuttling across the floor if he didn't?

这个是真牛逼

The thing that scared me the most is that you don't know you're the Thing till you change. Are you still in there when the head grows legs and crawls away. Yup! Try sleeping now.

This part absolutely fucked with me as a kid.

Fun fact: In Brazil, it's common for many movie titles to be changed to attract more moviegoers. Here, this movie was translated as "The Enigma from Another World."

One of my most favorite. I actually just ran across the VHS version when cleaning a bunch of them out. Lol. Couldn't bear to part with it tho 😀 I do have a bootleg copy

Los mejores efectos prácticos de todos los tiempos. No hay competencia

I was 13 - scared the 💩 out of me!

🔥🙌🦎Still looks awesome🐊🙌🔥

The best line in the entire movie! 🤣

If I had watched this in theatres, I would be screaming like Bottin was attacking me, which he did! Lol

What a film.

A masterpiece.

With practical effects. The prequal was ruined with CGI.

@Martona_

Have watched this film now twice this month with folks who have never seen it before and it makes me SO happy they end up "This was so good!" and "Top 10 horror flicks for sure!" by the end of the film :)

I watched that movie just last night.

Yesssssss!!!!!!!!!!

Iconic.

One of the best films ever made.

Poor Norris…

Best movie ever

seeing this movie in a theatre was a peak life experience.

The thing 1&3 one of the bestest horror films ever Fr 🙌🏽

I only seen my generation one, but I might have to watch this for the special effects

The blob, the incredible melting man. Good horror movies are always 'the something' and they were made in the 70s/80s... I miss them.

That’s 3rd Ave in #Seattle
