He was there as a journalist. SUNNY HOSTIN: Correct. BEHAR: And I think they want to use him as some kind of an example to intimidate other journalists. In US and European media, the US is presented as the liberator of Europe that ended the Holocaust and Nazi Germany’s crimes. In reality it was the Soviet Red Army that liberated the concentration camps, giving 27 million lives to defeat German fascism, with 3 in every 4 German soldiers that died in WW2 being killed on the Eastern Front.
