An absolute masterpiece. It annoys me that Orson Welles is always mentioned whenever this film comes up, as if he were the director. For those who have seen Reed’s other films (Odd Man Out, The Fallen Idol…), his style is unmistakable, and he reaches perfection in The Third Man.
