The time has come. We’re retiring 5⃣.

@PatMcAfeeShow Pat white. Noel Devine. Steve Slaton. Tavon Austin. Geno barely top 5 at the school lol

@Tylerwinfrey25 NCAA 08 Pat White was the closest thing to 04 Madden Michael Vick.

@BostonConnr Pat White is one of the greatest college football quarterbacks to ever play the game.

Pat White crawled so Lamar Jackson could walk

NCAA 2009 Option Dash with WVU. Pat White and Noel Divine. Some of the best memories!

I guess we're walking back that "have to be in the college and pro football halls of fame to get the number retired" rule?

Im not even a WVU fan, but I know that should have been done a long time ago

Washington Redskins legend Pat White!

@PatMcAfeeShow As a ND fan who lives in VA. Pat white was one of my favorite college QB’s ever. He was SPECIAL, can’t miss tv 🍿

About time!!

Surely he put up great numbers in the most important game he played in Morgantown…

@__bbell one of the most electrifying players in college football history! Well deserved! 🔥🔥

@DianteLeeFB That loss in the backyard brawl was my first big heartbreak

@PatMcAfeeShow Kids nowadays have no idea how good Pat White was. That man was electric.

Gee, I don’t know, maybe you should wait longer….absolutely ridiculous this wasn’t done a decade ago, dumbasses.

Well deserved. One of the funnest teams i ever watched.

Ngl we should’ve had bro and Steve Slaton cause I couldn’t go on without the other but pat was Lamar b4 Lamar

Should’ve done this 10 years ago but better late than never! Congrats 5!

@CFBTalkDaily Well deserved dudes a legend

Great player. Him & Steve Slayton I will never forget as a non WV fan. Beast in their days!

@ChrisCanala way overdue but yeah this guy was amazing

I would KILL to have seen Pat's reaction to the news. We love him so much. 🥹

YES!!! It’s about time!!

@WVUSports I am so happy for Pat. He deserves this, past due.

The GOAT, this has been a long time coming. For those of us who were in Morgantown during those years, this really means something.

@PatMcAfeeShow Long overdue! I’m glad this is finally happening!

Need those jerseys back full time too tbh

Vol fan here I used to love playing with him and Slayton back in the day on NCAA 🔥
