🚨 Radical Loyola Student Activist Boasts of Blocking Club Charter for Turning Point USA, “De-Arresting” Protesters from Police, and Preparing to “Fight Back” Against National Guard At the NAARPR conference, Juleea Berthelot, vice president of National Students for a Democratic Society and student at Loyola New Orleans, laid out her playbook for radical campus organizing — including targeting conservative student groups, battling police, and readying for street resistance if the National Guard deploys. “We’re fighting back against the expansion of the Trump agenda and his goons’ control on college campuses, and that looks like fighting back, making sure that TPUSA chapters do not get established on our campuses.” She celebrated derailing the formation of a Turning Point USA chapter. “TPUSA chapter is trying to get chartered on our campus, and we said hell no. We showed up to the student Senate meeting with over 100 students... and they were denied their charter, which was a huge win for us.” Berthelot also praised confrontations with campus police at neighboring Tulane University: “When TUPD [Tulane University PD] started attacking the protesters unprovoked, we were able to fight back against them. I probably shouldn’t say this, but de-arrested three people. Nobody was arrested that night.” Her organizing extends beyond campus politics. “We’ve created an ICE watch network that students and community members can get plugged into.” And she is openly preparing for future confrontation. “We’re part of the No Trump, No Troops coalition... and once the troops come to New Orleans, we have, within 24 to 48 hours, we’re gonna be boots on the ground fighting back.” She admitted the mobilization isn’t just about Trump. “We are able to unite broad groups of people into this fight... and open them up to other fights that aren’t just against Trump.” Her closing message? Activist escalation is working due to unified hatred against President Trump. “In a fucked-up way, thank you, Trump.” Violent resistance, shutting down opposing speech, organizing surveillance networks — this is the new SDS playbook, coming from their National Vice President. This is the kind of domestic extremism Loyola allows on campus. Yet they block a Turning Point USA chapter. Care to explain, Loyola New Orleans? What say you, Jeff Landry?
