Is Static Drilling the Kata of Jiu Jitsu? I have never done Kata, so I do not have a strong opinion on its value. It does look boring to me, though. Static drilling has some value, but not as much as live drills using the Constraints-Led Approach (CLA). If someone shows me a new move or solution, I will statically drill it 2 or 3 times. Then I will try to incorporate it in some live training. Static drilling makes up less than 1% of my training now. CLA will build your grappling skills faster and is a lot more fun.

A disturbing phenomenon in the PA units: the PA's security, intelligence, and special forces mechanisms have recently been observed wearing olive uniforms very similar to those of the IDF Duvdevan Unit and Yamam, in addition to the M-4 rifles seen with the units' mechanisms. Arizona: A great look at the terrain crews and Fire Managers are working with on the Horton Fire. Full suppression tactics are being used, including firing Ops to box the fire in, which also reduces exposure for resources in the steeps. A community meeting will be held tomorrow in Payson to update the local residents on the fire. It is suspected to be human caused and an investigation continues. SW Area IMT 1 will assume command of the fire. Thanks to the subscriber who shared this breathtaking view of the Horton Fire. 🙏 The fire was mapped at 1,074 acres.
