look at Elagabalus on Wikipedia, a Roman Caesar who wanted bottom surgery and turned all of Roman culture/religion on its head to accommodate himself, and his horrible end. It really is a reflection of what is happening today. As the saying goes, history repeats itself, and the ending for trans people could very well be the same.
