This is a safe haven during summer

We had a beautiful oak tree in the canyon between Penasquitos & Mira Mesa. It was nicknamed "Cathedral Oak." I used to bring my little children on walks there. It was also the grave site for a family that lived on that land historically. It fell in a storm and broke my heart.
