Putting a raw drywall edge against an exterior stone wall... What could go wrong there🙄

lol, If your contractor hasn't figured out how to scribe yet, you're screwed.

Great idea, but putting drywall against stone? Won't that create condensation?

Great; except that stone is much nicer that the drywall

Very clever, but "moisture" is an issue.

Looks good as far as fit, the gap at the top is too wide for specs, the bottom is resting on the floor where there should be a 5/8" gap, and the cut edge against the masonry may need some kind of moisture sealant, normally we use a "J" bead, but it wouldn't work here.

Sad to spoil this nonsense but you have to use the filler anyway cause there are clearly gaps.

You need to use a smaller wheel to get a more accurate shape.

Should have pushed it to the ceiling before scribing.

That’s good fitting and looks cool. Now show how you tape that edge to keep the heat/cold from entering the living space.

Great idea. Now show me how he fills the gap at the top that he forgot about

Czy na drugiej ścianie też będą płyty gipsowe? Jak będą to głupiego robota to wycinanie, tamta płyta zasłoni i tak w narożnik trzeba będzie dać siatkę i gips.

Utter nonsense, stone is porous, a raw drywall edge will draw water. Anyone doing this is not a tradesman….

You know what separates amateurs from craftsman? A fucking router. Nobody uses a drywall handsaw anymore. Wtf

Did he not think to lift the board first so there’s no gap at the top? That will draw moisture in aswell touching the wall

That’s actually a really handy tip for fitting plasterboard👌I usually use a scribe tool like this (affiliate link) as it’s more accurate and easier, but if you don’t have one, the method in the video works well too. A scribe is great for getting tricky cut-outs on pretty much any surface
