i had to cut a product clip on a saturday night and the editor i use had a panel called Mask1 Circle that meant nothing to me. so i double tapped fn, shared the window with vellum, and said i want the background soft but her face sharp, show me. it circled the mask control, waited, then circled Halo Blur once i had duplicated the layer. two red circles and a sentence each. the thing i keep noticing is what it did not do. it never took my cursor and it never exported a version for me. i made every click, so i can do it again tomorrow without asking.

004/100 Buttons. A bit of the process on building an animation. When looking at a finished animation or in this example a finished button, it can look quite complex inside the CSS. But when building it, it’s more like a lot of simple steps, one after another. Here I had the idea to make some kind of text animation like the footer logo on the Osmo site. I try to add the base animation with no complex easing, for example transition: translate 0.4s ease. Starting with just moving the one text from bottom to top and the other text to top. Adding a stagger, play around with it. Searching for a way to make it more circular. On the research I found the sin() function inside CSS which can build a more smooth non linear curve for the stagger which creates this circular effect. And step by step adding more complexity like, different easing for hover/hover-out, opacity, 3D transform and more. I use also the sin() function to rotate the letters, so the middle ones are getting more rotated than the outer ones. Another thing which helps is to add a small delay on hover, for example 0.05s or 0.1s, you don’t really see the difference, but when you hover pretty fast on and out it doesn’t get that jumpy. I’m using here GSAP’s SplitText to split every char into spans. And then I’m adding a CSS index variable to every span, starting from the center. SplitText can provide CSS index variables, but you cannot tell it from which direction. For the sin() it’s also important to have a max length, so I add another CSS variable with the max char number on it. Crafting 100 Buttons with Osmo ⏳ Total time: 63h

I just spent roughly 15 hours on this navigation component so you don’t have to. and just dropped into the vault 🎉 one thing i really like about this one is the morphing motion, but also something people often overlook: accessibility. it’s fully responsive, keyboard accessible, and built so everyone can actually use it. also, no dependencies. Just vanilla HTML, CSS and JavaScript. you can test and play around with it, link in the comments ↓

1. No, we can't recreate a universally perfect liquid glass in Figma that will adapt to any UI on the background. 2. Yes, we can create a slightly fake version. The secret is to use 1 additional nested layer that will have 2 effects — blurring the background and deforming it. All additional lighting effects should be used on the main container where this background layer sits. These are my best numbers for it so far.

X’s in-app browser is cool, but it makes saving links via the share extension a real pain on mobile. (IYKYK.) We’ve solved this with a neat new trick. Now, when you save an X post to Matter that contains a URL, we ask if you want to save the link or the post. TLDR: If you want to save an article linked in a post, just save the post directly from your feed! You can thank Hunter for this clever, "obvious in retrospect" idea.

This one line of CSS will fix the annoying layout shift that scrollbars cause. This happens when a non-scrollable container becomes scrollable due to its content. This gets rid of that problem: .container { scrollbar-gutter: stable; } With that, space is reserved for the scrollbar before it even appears. So there's no layout shifts when content grows. Use both-edges if your content is centered. It mirrors the reserved space on both sides of the container to keep the layout balanced. If you found this one useful, follow for more. ❤️

Now feels like the right time to share this. 10 seconds prior to the alleged shot, an anomaly appears in the sky and than disappears shortly after Charlie leaves the UVU campus. I don't know what it is...but I do not think it's a cloud. The first video was screen recorded from Adam Bartholomew 🗨️ youtube, and I used CapCut to turn down the brightness so it would be easier to see. Other then that no other edits were made. the second video is with a negative filter and zoomed in.

One detail about Pexo's Mark to Fix deserves more attention: the frames around the one you marked. You select an area and request a change. Muse Spark 1.3 is now in Codex!! OpenCode's free tier runs it for nothing, and $10 on OpenCode Go gets you over 45,300 requests. It's basically Opus 5 tier too. There's a catch though. Meta may use your inputs and outputs for training, which is the whole reason the tier is called contributor and the whole reason it's free. Muse 1.3 just sits in the picker next to my paid models now. I'll just use Astra + Muse Spark for subagents. Gonna keep everything in stock in case we need it.

Y'all know I don't post things just to start drama but things like this are frustrations and miscues you're seeing with the offense this year. I didn't see this on the broadcast but after a screen to Kittle, there's something off about what Deebo did. Kyle is up around the 40 to the right so Deebo is talking to someone else on the sideline, who's getting after him. I went back to the broadcast and this was Kyle's reaction right after this happened. Lip readers, what's Kyle saying? Pretty sure there's a word that starts with F in there.
