Support systems are a biopsychosocial advantage. People with strong community ties experience lower stress, better immune function, and even greater cognitive resilience. So if you’re navigating life without a village, be gentle with yourself. You’re not behind—you’re carrying more, often invisibly. The goal isn’t to do it all alone, but to start where you are and build support slowly, intentionally. Even one safe connection can change everything.

I know some single parents, who work 2 jobs, who don't have family support, and yet somehow manage to raise their kids. I think they are true heroes. Amazing. They are so strong (even if they don't feel like it at times). You are a blessing in this world!

I'm... I'm speechless.

Thank you for highlighting this.

So very true, thank you!

Means a lot to hear that, thank you 🫶🏻

Thank you .. 🙏🏻🩵🦋

I have no family, no support system. I’ve only had myself for the last 35 yrs. It’s too hard. Being old and on your own is not sustainable.

We humans are interconnected and interdependent. That's where we not only survive but thrive-support of others. Problem today is we are more isolated and alone and that's unnatural. Don't we think we are now more connected to machines (electronic gadgets) than the real persons? That gives rise to all mental health issues.

Thanks Nicole :) Also true of personal brands where the person appears superhumanly capable or to be living a very desirable life. There's often a whole team there facilitating that appearance...
