Forex charges was supposed to come as a cashback. But even I'm surprised that they are not putting the FCY conversion charges at all this time. Last time they charged and refunded later.

Exactly. That's what many reported to me. So I tried melody khao, khud jaan jao.

Seen it in last 2 statements now

That is correct. I was surprised too. This time they are not charging the forex markup at all. Great deal if you have the HSBC T1 card.

Exactly, i also did a transaction on cathay pacific on 20th April, was expecting forex charges to show up with gst but nothing of that sort came . Now even statement has been generated, amount clearly shows in HKD and INR but nothing forex fee charged. So basically we are even saving on GST amount 🔥🔥. Waah Hsbc waah 🎉

Forex charges usually shows as separate entry in statement

There was no entry.

very strange but glad it's working for customers, hope they fix it so it's more transparent

Hello Sir, I recently bought F1 tickets (charged in Euro) with my T1 card and was charged the Forex. I was assuming they will reverse it after the campaign period. Not sure what’s the scene. I had registered for the offer as well.

Where did you see the charge levied?

In my statement (see below). Any suggestions? Thinking to write to hsbc

@EvryPaisaMatter Did they reverse it?

@EvryPaisaMatter Yes yes.. all in one go in May

4 vs 1.82 for Premier, amazing!

Wow amazing for my Japan trip, now I know which card to use everywhere @ccg33k This is good till June, right?

@ccg33k Why not use Visa card for 20% Cashback?

@ccg33k Not applicable for Japan isn't it?

@ccg33k oh yes.

Thanks for sharing sirji 🙌

Do we need to register for the offer somewhere?

Good explanation 👌 forex markup quietly adds up more than most people realise.

This might be a new development. As a T1 user, I can tell you that I was charged a forex fee plus GST separately for transactions in Jan 2026. Since I signed up for the forex offer, I got cashback for the fee.

Could be. I am equally surprised..

so did they charge forex or not?

Nopee

How to find out which transaction got how many points? In the reward points section it only says Bonus/Base Points and the number of points, but not the transaction against which it was credited.

But Scapia Federal Bank card offers the same 0% forex with no joining/renewal charge. I think we have a better candidate
