The Turtle Shelter Built For Tornadoes 😬
32 条评论

Serves as a casket if it gets torn loose and flies away. Just dig a hole and build a proper tornado shelter why don't you.

Using the same proprietary technology and design for comfort as the OceanGate Titan!

if tornado can make wood pierce concrete, it will pierce the whole family inside that dome making uncle Vlad proud

Tornadoes can have winds up to 320 MPH. This is not holding and your shelter will soon be flying 100 feet in the air with you inside it.

A Pipe to the Sky In the Perm Krai, a tornado was filmed drawing water from the Kama River.

That tornado going to be like…

To start with, why would you even build houses made of wood in tornado areas?

$2,500 not $25,000

Thats cool and all ...if you only account for the tornado going in one direction. What happens if the wind goes the other way? 🤔

All fun and games until a tractor lands on it.

What would happen if it got buried under a ton of debris and you couldn’t get it open?

Trees get ripped out the ground with way more roots than those spikes.

DID YOU KNOW that tornadoes are virtually invisible until they pick up debris or condense water vapor, meaning the funnel cloud you actually see is mostly composed of trapped cloud droplets and pulverized dust? Also, the longest traveled tornado recorded 695 DEATHS! Have a short read about Tornadoes. Cheers 🥂 🙂

You ever heard of what ground scouring is?

They should of sold it for $700🤣

No thank you. I don’t want to be in a flying coffin.

NO WAY that thing is going to stay anchored to the ground.

GOD LOOKING AT Y'ALL 😅

Imagine you forgot to screw it in lol

It’s not the strength of the wind blowing. It’s what the wind is blowing I would be worried about.

Imagine someone farted inside.

A 25k group coffin. Fascinating

See, this is why I have been saying for years that Hobbit houses need to be made popular

Great concept with the Tornado Turtle Shell. Two key challenges to consider for real-world testing: enhancing the shield strength against flying vehicle impacts, and designing an emergency extraction mechanism if heavy debris like concrete lands on top of it.

1. No. 2. That just a coffin. 3. Storm shelter doors should open to the inside so you don’t get trapped inside by debris.

Don’t do this especially if you are in Oklahoma or north Texas. Look around your area. Everything I your line of sight is potentially a bowling ball that can scoot across the ground into you. The heavier it is the more power it has if that wind starts moving it. A vehicle or large debris caught in wind can dislodge those anchors in the dirt and send you flying if it hits just right. Spend double or triple the price and get a steel reinforced concrete underground shelter. It can be installed in a couple of hours with a backhoe and a few workers.

God help you if you got loose soil, and I hope you have a happy landing.

the name alone is doing way too much like we already know its about to get punted across the county

Wait until a tree truck barrels down on it

This needs to be underground, there’s no way I see a tornado and I’m going outside and hiding in the outside shelter.

Pffft. If Id ever want to run from tornado, Id just go downstairs on ground floor. Whole base is made of 70c thick granite rocks. Our elders werent lazy

Not sure but what if derbis fall on it? They get burried... Some underground room will be good. Prayers no one face such tragedy.
