Beautifully stated. Even in being so similar to MJ with his style of play + instincts, couldn’t imagine what the post 90’s game would look like without him. His impact was that great. So much that there was such a drop off in quality after he hung em up.

No one would say no if he said he was better than MJ. But he is humble enough to acknowledge that MJ was the trailblazer who set Kobe on his path as a basketball player. MJ & Kobe never said he was the greatest. The arrogant SOB who does that is the one with the least rings.
