The UK has the world's second largest tidal range after Canada, and yet we use very little of it to produce renewable energy. We should be investing in tidal power to create jobs, improve Britain's energy security, and bring down bills for struggling families.

We have the wave hub here in Cornwall, built at great expense. Very few Companies have bothered to sign up to use it.

They looked closely at the Bristol channel, but concluded it would be devastating to wildlife, particularly Slimbridge RSPB reserve.

Nonsense. Tidal power is absurdly expensive, and intermittent. At slack water it produces nothing at all, that's twice a day. You can't seem to understand jobs are a cost not a benefit.

Yes but the Milliband family might not personally profit so that's a complete non-starter.

Underwater turbines can be a hazard to fish, seals etc. Solutions using wave energy have to withstand extreme environments. Tough nut to crack!
