In 2016 the BBC ran a documentary about two members of a Syrian rape gang who had been cleared of child rape. The children were presented as sexually experienced liars. The two men were later convicted of raping another child. No documentary was made about that 4

The BBC has broadcast at least two documentaries about what actually happened with the rape gangs but neither of these are now available. If you search for 'grooming gangs' today on the iPlayer, 100% of the documentaries in the results are about the same girl who lied 5

Channel 4 also broadcast a documentary that told the story of some of the rape gangs a few years ago - it is now almost impossible to find 6

There’s very little interesting to broadcasters about girls and women being abused by men, it’s endemic in society. A lying girl however, that doesn’t need societal change to solve, does it?

It looks like the BBC have only ever aired a handful of documentaries about the scandal. At least two are not accessible, and of the those that are, they are all about a girl who lied and how that attracted the far right. And now Channel 4 has made a series about the same girl

This is a deliberate rewriting of history. If the BBC deleted every documentary about the Holocaust and put out 5 different documentaries about that one guy who lied about being a survivor, they would rightfully be condemned as holocaust deniers.

The BBC and Channel 4 must each have a whole team dedicated to detecting and deploying the Dead Cat strategy as and when needed. All paid for by the punitively-enforced BBC licence tax.

THIS is exactly what I hate about mainstream media. They will use one, small, seed of truth to blow up a massive narrative for their agenda. So, thousands of girls sexually abused but hey, we found this ONE that lied so let’s make a documentary undermining the whole scandal.
