‼️🇺🇦🚀 Ukraine’s future FP-9 Pelikan could become one of the most powerful weapons in Kyiv’s domestically produced long-range strike arsenal, combining ballistic speed with a massive warhead designed to destroy heavily protected targets deep inside Russia. Developed by Ukrainian defense company Fire Point⁠, the FP-9 is designed for a range of up to 855 km, with an 800-kg warhead and claimed accuracy of around 20 meters. The missile is expected to reach speeds of approximately 2,200 m/s and altitudes of up to 70 km, making interception significantly more demanding than with conventional cruise missiles. If Fire Point succeeds in moving the FP-9 into serial production at meaningful scale, Ukraine would gain an independent ballistic strike capability capable of threatening Russian airfields, command centers, ammunition depots and military-industrial facilities hundreds of kilometers beyond the frontline. More importantly, unlike Western-supplied missiles, a domestically produced system would leave Kyiv with far greater freedom over where and how its long-range weapons are employed.
