Presidential Hospitals Rehabilitation Programme Reaches Mpilo, Bulawayo In a significant stride toward equitable healthcare development, the Presidential Hospitals Rehabilitation Programme has officially extended its reach to Mpilo Central Hospital in Bulawayo. This milestone marks a pivotal moment in the national effort to modernize Zimbabwe’s health infrastructure under the guiding theme of President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa: “Leaving no one and no place behind.” The initiative, which has already transformed several key medical institutions across the country, aims to revitalize hospital facilities, upgrade medical equipment, and improve patient care standards. Mpilo Central Hospital, one of the largest referral hospitals in the southern region , now joins the growing list of beneficiaries, signaling the government’s commitment to inclusive development. Local officials and hospital staff have welcomed the move, noting that the upgrades will significantly improve service delivery and reduce the need for patients to travel long distances for specialized care. This development underscores the Second Republic’s vision of a Zimbabwe where quality healthcare is a right accessible to all citizens, urban and rural alike. As the programme continues to roll out across the country, Mpilo stands as a beacon of progress and a testament to the government’s pledge to uplift every corner of the nation.

COGAT, Major General Ghassan Alian, to the residents of Gaza in light of the Israel Defense Forces preparations to expand operations against Hamas in Gaza City and ahead of moving the population from Gaza City southward for their protection: "In recent weeks, the terrorist organization Hamas has been leading a false starvation campaign. Contrary to Hamas’s claims, Israel does not pursue a policy of starvation. On the contrary, Israel works to prevent starvation. Every day, more than 300 humanitarian aid trucks enter Gaza, the vast majority carrying food. We've opened four crossings and facilitated the collection and distribution, which has led to a sharp drop in food prices in the markets and a significant improvement in access to food. Hamas, and only Hamas, is responsible for the humanitarian crisis. It deliberately acts to worsen the situation while attempting to seize control of the aid and exploit the people of Gaza as human shields". "The IDF is preparing to expand operations against Hamas in Gaza City, with the goal of bringing about the collapse of this terrorist organization, while at the same time ensuring the safe passage of residents to the southern Gaza Strip for their protection. To this end, we have launched proactive measures to improve the humanitarian response in the southern Gaza Strip". "We facilitated the entry of tents for the shelters and we are working to establish additional field hospitals, and to enable the entry of more medical equipment to strengthen the healthcare system in the southern Gaza Strip. Hamas will continue spreading lies! and we will continue working together with the UN and international organizations to facilitate the entry of large-scale food supplies and to ensure that the aid reaches you, the residents of Gaza, and not Hamas"
