Tsachi and Gali Idan and three of their children, Maayan (18), Yael (then 12), and Shahar (then 10) huddled in their safe room, with Tsachi struggling to hold the door shut against the terrorists. Maayan went to help him, and the terrorists fired through the door, killing Maayan in front of her family. The terrorists then forced the rest of them into the living room and went live on Gali’s Facebook as they tormented the family. Later, Hamas terrorists brought two more kibbutz families into the Idans’ home, including Omri Miran, his wife Lishay, and their daughters Romi (then 2) and Alma (10 months).
