this is very good news blumenthal confirmed based thank you senator

Bravo. Thank you for speaking out about the extreme risks imposed on humanity by the AI industry. The American people did not sign up to be guinea pigs in the most dangerous technological experiment ever run.

This makes many concerned people very happy. Thank you for spearheading this, Senator!

@SenBlumenthal @HawleyMO The US is restricting China’s access to AI chips. But China has full access to AI software through Meta’s decision to release Llama 2 as open source. Meta is also the only Big Tech company that ignores safety initiatives like the Frontier Model Forum.

Every kind of fiction works because of some form of conflict. For science fiction, the conflict is in society & tech. If we were to extrapolate all science fiction to reality, we should shut down all forms of technology. Please think, instead of blindly listening to pessimists.

I'd like to know more about who he's speaking to and who is advising the government about AI? Sounds a little over-reactive.

I am counting on you to not stifle innovation, senator. Delaying artificial fertilizers by a few decades to make sure it's completely safe beforehand would've cost hundreds of millions(!) of lives. AI is bigger than artificial fertilizers.

As its 114 here, most imp is climate ppl cannot live wo water and 108 does brain damage

I agree ☝️ There are good possibilities, However, I Believe the Nightmares that could/can result outweigh the good. Then, there’s the issues of Other countries. That should get everyone thinking. Technology, Perhaps more headaches and challenges then ever imagined.
