"Explosion in Kharkiv" or something along those lines is the most frequent post I make. I've probably made a thousand of them by now, if not more. Air raid alerts are so frequent here that I usually don't even post about them. They can last for days, and the citizens of Kharkiv are forced to disregard them. Or we can have twelve of them in a day, and we will also be forced to disregard them. I often see online how central or western Ukraine complains about the alerts, and oh, how much I would give to have an actual solid warning about an attack like them. I remember about a year ago when I first started speaking out about what is happening to our country. I had a British born Muslim in my inbox threatening to “cut my head off like Lee Rigby”. Saying the usual things I often see them say: “We have infiltrated every level of your society from law, education to politics”. “I was born here and we’re going nowhere”. “This is our country now”. “Where are your big hard football hooligans now?” I can remember feeling truly defeated because I knew he was right. Long day boys. There’s a little town beside Kerrville called Center Point that was completely destroyed by the flood. They have one volunteer fire department that was caught in the water, carrying away every piece of emergency equipment they have. Dudes barely got their fire trucks out. They managed to clean it out best they could and make it their base of operations for search and rescue. We linked up with them and searched the riverbanks for bodies all day. Great bunch of amazing men and women. We got them a generator, water, and energy drinks to keep things pumping, but they still need some help. Currently talking to the people in charge to figure out what they need exactly and I’ll relay that back in this thread.
