Loop engineering is great until something breaks. Here is how I improve the reliability of my agentic loops. I use human-in-the-loop (HITL). It's easy and extremely effective. Anyone can build this. My setup: I recorded a quick demo of how it all works. I shared recently that I now use more voice agents to build and communicate with agents. I also use them to verify. I hate the idea of being tied down to my computer or in a Slack channel to communicate with my agents. Here is what I have done to streamline communication with my agents. All my Claude and Codex agent sessions now use the Dial MCP server. It has a bunch of tools and provisions my agents with their own number that can place calls as native tools, with voice, SMS, and iMessage behind one interface. I don’t care how long it takes or how many people roast me, I will learn and I will figure it out. I will share what I am proud of and what I might be skeptical about. I will learn to look past the criticism. I will continue experimenting. I will give myself all the grace in the world. Fitness has become a gateway to so many possibilities for me. At some point it was rap, then it was academia, then investing and now it’s this. I will double down on these things because they offer me so much. PS: I wasn’t aware of the dangers of weighted dips and my form. I learned so much from the gym community. And this is my attempt after the many conversations I had on my previous post on dips. Please continue to hold no punches 🫡

In LiveView, we keep the state in one place - the server - and it simplifies a lot. But sometimes the state on the client is preferred, or even necessary, and we can't use LiveView for that part. Unless we have a LiveView that runs on the client 👀 Using Popcorn, we managed to run LiveView fully in the browser – here's a POC 🎉 The approach is to have a fully client-side LiveView rendered by a server-side one, and they can communicate with each other. Postman is going all-in on AI! Their AI Agent Builder is live (and it's pretty powerful!) Postman's API Network has 100,000+ APIs and they just released a suite of tools for building AI Agents that can automatically discover and connect to any of these APIs. Think about it for a second: You can now build an AI agent that searches the network, discovers an API, processes its documentation, connects to it, and evaluates whether everything worked at the end of the process. This is a huge deal. Every person I know uses the Postman client to work with APIs. Now, they will have access to the AI Agent Builder, a complete suite for designing, building, testing, and deploying agents. I've built a few simple agents myself, and it's tough. The ability to discover and use an API automatically is really exciting (and a huge time saver if it works as promised!) Alhamdulillah! allowed by the authorities to attend the Friday prayers at #JamaMasjid and address the faithful after a gap of one month. As the Mirwaiz it is my duty to utilise this pulpit to call attention to issues that affect our society—be they of religious, political, social or economic nature ,and provide guidance in the light of Islamic teachings and values and on moral principles. Every Friday we are left wondering whether I will be allowed to go and fulfill my responsibilities . This uncertainty is not just for me—it affects the entire community, which for generations looks to this pulpit for guidance on matters of faith and on issues and challenges faced by them . I sincerely hope that from now onwards the approach of creating hurdles and imposing restrictions will cease , and I will be uninterruptedly allowed to do my job.

UPDATE: Ended up with this cool little tool to both build and verify the training data quality; it turned out very accurate! So I am at least happy about that (tho it obvisouly was the easy part) The pipeline to produce this kind of training data (from any Warsh recitation) is in the GitHub below. The repo also documents my full exploration of the Tarteel-for-Warsh problem (and quite frankly, of the offline open source tarteel problem in general): what I tried, what's promising, what's not, and what I think the next steps worth taking are: from a non-engineer with little technical expertiste trying to figure it out. I tried to document everything so the repo might be excessively comprehensive at times. It's basically my entire convo with Claude on the subject, condensed in one repo. Please someone take this and run with it! I genuinely believe the right engineers who can make something real out of this are out there First public repo I've ever shared, so if I made dumb mistakes, please tell me! 🔗

Pistons/Clippers at Intuit Dome. Crazy I bought front row courtside under basket right by Pistons bench. I took off my sweatshirt and had my 94 Grant Hill jersey on. I was told immediately I had to put my sweater back on because I was on the Wall side. Even though the Wall is in the stands and I’m courtside. They told me if I cheered for Pistons I would be kicked out. What an overkill and such a joke to sit there for 2 hours quiet. Not allowed to clap for my team. My walk by the canal this evening and I thought you might be interested to see a lock. I realised that some of you might never have seen one and I know everyone is fascinated as to how they work. Locks are a way for boats to go up hill or downhill. Without them, there would be waterfalls and a narrowboat can’t do those. If I were sailing my boat from where I’m walking in this video, I’d need to open the paddles with my windlass to let all of the water out. Once the water was out of the lock, I could open one gate (a narrowboat exactly fits through just one gate) and sail into the lock. I’d then close the gate and walk to the other end of the lock as I do in this video. I’d open the paddles at these gates and the water would now flow into the lock and my boat would rise up as the lock filled with water. Once it was full, I’d open a gate and sail out. A very simple system, but very clever. P.S. I have employed a swan to carry my video camera for these videos, as the duck I first employed couldn’t handle the weight of the camera and kept crashing into the water. The swan is better but as you’ll see at the beginning of the video, he’s so big that he crashes straight through the tree branches. There is a lot more training required and he was told off and debriefed after this video was made.
