The #Vikings could create an additional $14.7 million by cutting Ed Ingram, Brian Asamoah, and extending C.J. Ham, Josh Metellus, and Josh Oliver. These moves would give Minnesota $78,110,749 in effective cap space, which would be the 4th most in the NFL.

The same post, but simplified: Cuts: Ingram, Asamoah (+$4.7M) Extensions: Ham, Metellus, Oliver (+$10M) ($4.7M + $10M = $14.7M in savings) $14.7M in savings + $63.3M in existing cap space = a new total of $78M in cap space. Hopefully this prevents any further confusion.

Feels like all of these are layup decisions too

The only questionable one is C.J. Ham. However, if extending a veteran fullback is the most controversial roster move Kwesi could make to clear up cap space, then I'd say we're in a pretty good spot.

Cutting Brian Asamoah really won't save you much cap space at all when a contract that is about 250k less than his will have to slide into that spot he voids

I think Brian Flores' lack of trust in Brian Asamoah would be enough reason for the Vikings to cut him. Our inside linebacker depth is a serious problem that hasn't been addressed.

Maybe extend or restructure O’Neil too

Cut Ingram, Asamoah, Ham, and Bradbury. There is literally no reason to extend anyone. If anything Oliver needs to take a paycut.

Cut Bradbury as well.

Do eeet

The could also extend O'Neill
