The Voice will be about recognition, and it will be about listening.

At tonight’s Lowitja O’Donoghue Oration in Adelaide, I spoke about how Australians will have the chance to vote Yes to the future we seek to build. Lowitja O’Donoghue was driven by her faith in the Australian people and their instinct for a fair go.

“I do not disparage the symbolic ... As the 1967 referendum shows: the larger gestures may have to underpin other forms of progress,” she said. Back then, Australians voted in a referendum to remove a harmful, discriminatory relic. In 2023, our generation can go one better.

A moment of Australian unity. An extraordinary opportunity for every Australian to be counted and heard – to own this change and be proud of it, and truly live the spirit of the fair go.

We are tired of listening because no matter how much we do for Aboriginals they are never satisfied, it will never be enough. #VoteNo

Is that because you can't separate "the voice" from "recognition?" Or, is it because you know the case for one is strong, and the case for the other is weak, and you're trying to shoehorn your shitty weak case into the strong case tick box? Fly away, chicken little

Why aren't you listening now? And why have previous governments (state and federal) failed to listen?

My feeling is that the voice will be used to enact a reparations tax, further plundering average Australians, all administered by left wing bureaucrats riding yet another gravy train, all while patting themselves on the back about how virtuous they are. #VoteNo

It is RACIST to introduce an ethnicity clause in the constitution. The "Voice" is about woke white guilt. The only people pushing this agenda are white people. Most indigenous people dont seem to want it. They want to be treated fairly, not singled out. #VoteNoToApartheid #VoteNo #VoteNoAustralia
