The Walker Kessler criticism is a perfect example of people confusing contract talk with basketball evaluation. On the defensive end Kyle uses his length and athleticism to be a highly impactful rim protector who also doesn’t foul which is extremely rare. He’s also versatile enough to play in a lot of different defensive systems and he's also versatile enough to switch onto smaller players. Kyle is also a high level help defender and uses his agility to make quick decision plays on the defensive end. Offensively he’s a very efficient rim runner who’s a strong screen setter, lob threat, while also being able to push in transition. He’s great at positioning himself for dunks where he finished with 59 this season. Kyle is also an efficient long dunking finisher where he shot 66% on layups. Kyle is also a solid passer for his archetype and has the ability to make plays in short roll situations. Kyle is one of 3 players since 2008 to have a BLK% of 9, a STL% of 2, make 50 dunks or more, while fouling under 3 times a game per 40, joining Brandon Clarke and Anthony Davis as the only other players.

Asked Nuggets coach David Adelman about the season that Jaylen Brown has had, and he gushed about Brown as both a player and a person. "The the elite shooting from mid range is such a big deal in our game, it's the late-clock ability, his overall size, his ability to play in the middle of the floor, which is really hard to come double people and not give up the three point line to a team like they have, I would just say his continued evolution in his game. "He's an elite, All-Star player, two-way player. I just watched him grow over the years, not just the championship year, but with Jayson Tatum, obviously out, more responsibility falls into his hands, and I thought they did a great job building around him for this particular season, with all the shooting that surrounds him." "He's a problem. He's not fun to watch on tape when you have to play against him. I'm a fan of his, just as a pure basketball person, not just as a coach. Actually got to spend some time in Africa, he was such an impressive person. He's good for the NBA. He's going to be a probelm for us tonight." "There was an Africa game that I coach in, that he played in. They used to do that yearly in South Africa. It's an amazing event. He came down there for that. And some of the events that we had to do -- humanitarian stuff, you go out and you see these communities, and just to see his investment in it was really impressive. And he was at a much younger age then. And I remember him in the bubble, speaking up at meetings and things like that." "Some people are born to lead. He definitely stands out as one of those people."

i just hope tian is okay right now. with all the false accusations and everything that’s been happening, i can’t even imagine what he must be going through. it honestly breaks my heart thinking about how overwhelming and hurtful this situation must be for him. i really hope he knows that so many of us truly don’t care about his past relationships at all. he is a grown adult and his personal life is his own. what matters to us is the person he is, the work he does, and the happiness he brings to so many people. and the truth is that tian has already shown multiple times that these accusations are false. even a lawyer pointed out that what he posted was not just a simple lawyer’s letter but a case notice stating malicious fabrication. in the entertainment industry most celebrities usually sue for defamation of reputation, but accusing someone of malicious fabrication is much more serious. yet even with official statements and legal action, some people still choose to ignore it and keep spreading rumors as if random posts online were more believable than documents with an official seal. that’s why this situation feels so frustrating and unfair. no matter what proof is shown, some people will still try to twist the narrative. but there are also many of us who see what is really happening and refuse to believe these rumors. more than anything, i just hope he is surrounded by people who support him and that he’s taking care of himself. i hope he knows there are still so many people sending him love and standing by him. at the end of the day we love him for who he is, not for some perfect image people try to force on him. he deserves peace and support, especially during a moment like this. 🤍

Shapiro: When you have a president who is focused on making money for himself, that corruption leaves us all worse off because it means he’s picking favorites not based on what benefits the American people, but on what benefits him and his children. He’s picking sides in battles that ultimately are un-American because he’s putting his own profiteering ahead of the needs of the American people. That’s point one: his corruption has a real cost to the American people. Point two, though, is that what he’s doing seemingly is totally protected because the Supreme Court of the United States made one of its worst decisions, really over the last century, to give this president absolute and total immunity. And so he feels like he can do anything. So while he sits in that gilded Oval Office, he’s not focused on solving your problems, getting you health care, putting a roof over your head, or driving down your costs. Instead, he’s focused on trying to figure out how he can make a buck for himself and his family. And that is at odds with meeting the needs of the American people. So the first thing is his corruption has a cost to you, and the second thing is his corruption has been enabled by this Supreme Court, which has given him absolute and total immunity. That’s why we need real reform. That’s why we need anti-corruption laws at the federal level. I could make an argument that we need a 28th Amendment to our Constitution to bake in some stricter guardrails to protect the American people from a president of the United States who lacks integrity, ethics, and honor the way this president does. I think everything needs to be on the table. We need real reform.

Francois Truffaut on Jean-Luc Godard: "Godard makes two or three movies a year, because he works like a painter. For him, what counts is not a single movie, but the work he has done during a certain artistic period. What I admire most in his films (although he can, if he wants to, show that he is visually one of the world’s best directors) is the beauty of his dialogues. He started making movies at the time when we all discovered Bergman, who liberated dialogue, that is, he showed us that the characters need only express what the director wants them to. There is no need to concern oneself with their psychology, or their social situation, or the plot. And Godard has secrets, you know, he never has a character go out a door and into the street. His characters go out a door, turn to the left, retrace their steps, and then go into the street. They put a cigarette into their mouth, take it out, put it back in, light it, and when it’s lit, throw it away. He is the only one who is able to express the instability of life. And he has also done away with the notion of characters who are likable or not likable, because in his films there are no feelings. Godard is certainly the most imitated director in the world, and people say, ‘He opened the doors,’ but I don’t think so. I think he opened the doors for him, just as it’s very dangerous to imitate Orson Welles by placing the camera on the ground. That’s O.K. for him but not for the rest of us." (Truffaut's interview with Sanche De Gramont, 1969) Clip from: Masculin Féminin (1966) Director: Jean-Luc Godard
