In Sudan, the Muslim Brotherhood organisation committed atrocious crimes under the regime of Omar al-Bashir. He imposed Sharia law that included torturing women, also state sanctioned executions. He also used rape as a weapon of war. He destroyed Sudan's economy and civil service, and he is supporting the current civil war led by the Sudanese Armed Forces today. This has led to the killing of civilians and the displacement of millions, causing a refugee crisis, but it's not one you will have heard too much about. Ask yourselves why that is? The crimes committed by Sudanese Armed Forces justify the recent French decision adopted by its parliament, calling on the European Union to include the Muslim Brotherhood on the list of terrorist organisations—a decisive step to confront their global threat. However, sanctions must also be imposed on the countries that support them in the Middle East for these steps to be successful and effective!
