The Warriors are going to try and acquire LeBron James today, per Brian Windhorst 👀 “The Warriors told Jimmy Butler they’re not trading him. I think the focus right now is can they get LeBron James away from the Lakers. That’s something they’re going to try and get done, today.”

@WindhorstESPN Lakers. LET HIM GO!!! Don’t fall into this leverage madness. It’s Luka and ARs team now. Take that money and go build a team for the future! Let’s not make the same mistake twice

@WindhorstESPN Try to get, lol. The lakers are gift wrapping him to them with a do not return sign

WalkonPooh3 months ago

@WindhorstESPN I would be shocked that he leaves the Lakers after this happened. I can't imagine there's much of a chance he prefers to play with Steph/Giannis/Harden over his own son. And no one was really reporting on it, didn't even show up in my feed until today.

@WindhorstESPN Lakers have screwed up @KingJames thanks to Rich Paul advising him not to join Warriors 2 seasons ago. In those two season he finished 6th in MVP voting and got no extension and last season led them to second round and gets no contract. If he returns to Lakers his head is screwed

@WindhorstESPN Who would have ever thought that Lebron would be ring chasing once again and going to a team that has already won an NBA title before and still has two key players from it. Coach as well. Less pressure. His 5th team. Yes Clevland is two. 👎

Teams interested in LeBron James are skeptical that they can beat Cleveland’s case for LeBron, per Brian Windhorst “What I suspect is going to be important to him is he is going to get through the regular season without having to go to extraordinary measures. Without having to play 38 minutes per game, take 25 shots. I think Philly can make a compelling case… but so can Cleveland. Can anybody make a more compelling case on the roster than Cleveland and more compelling on the home front. The teams out there that I’ve talked to are skeptical. They don’t know for sure, but they’re skeptical.”

The Warriors are planning to pursue LeBron James this offseason and Steph Curry is planning on meeting with LeBron to recruit him to Golden State, per Brett Siegel. “League sources telling us at ClutchPoints that the Warriors are very much open to pursuing LeBron James and they plan to do so this offseason in free agency… LeBron James, at the end of his career, he could still contribute a high level, we saw that in the playoffs. Pairing him with Stephen Curry is going to be something that the Warriors look to pursue over the next few weeks… It seemed very doubtful, it seemed low percentage, now it’s kind of questionable. Now there’s going to be some legs to this… That same source told us that Steph is planning on meeting and talking with LeBron about potentially joining the Warriors over the course of the next few weeks leading up to free agency.” (via ‘Clutch Scoops’)

LeBron doesn’t believe in that. I don’t expect him to accept that. If you’re the Lakers and you force LeBron to leave, he’ll go somewhere else and play for less money”
