My father was on the original test team at Fairchild. He was with the group tasked with introducing the A-10 to the European theatre. We we stationed in England for 3 years. The most amazing Aircraft in AF and a pilot favorite. He would be so proud of it performance in combat.

My Dad was a bomb loader in the AF back in the 80s. Because of him, my family has always loved the Hogs!!! Then, I became an Army Tanker and loved them for entirely different reasons!! They are finally getting the public recognition they have deserved for so long!

That has got to be the most awe-inspiring aircraft in our arsenal right now. It will be sad to see them go. First time I saw one in flight was in 1981 at NAS Fallon, NV. and I will never forget how it made a low sharply banked turn in a seemingly impossibly short distance.

Yeah, I hope they get to stick around for awhile.

They are all being phased out this fiscal year, so between now and Oct they will (presumably) all be sent to the boneyard. They are much more susceptible to ground defenses than modern aircraft.

The most survivable airframe ever made. No other airplane can take SAM hit and keep flying bringing the pilot home safe. Stealth aircraft survive because they're hard to detect. Everyone knows where this beast is. The beast says FAFO.

I truly never got the “ugly” moniker. I think it’s one of the most beautiful jets ever created. It looks strong and “utilitarian”. I always love that engineering.
