That reminds me of that scene from that latest Indiana Jones. Bringing in a downed plane for Archimedes and subsequently the Romans later on would have caused a time paradox. Any remnants of the wreckage would eventually be studied.

Moral of the story, Time travel sucks. Just leave time alone.
