Sometimes we are forgetting to see that they also have feelings and society should respond to those feelings in a grateful manner. Friends, this small effort of mine “Walk for Men” is a response which I want to dedicate to all those hardworking men of the society, whose emotions remain suppressed while fulfilling the needs of their families and their society. I want us to express our feelings openly towards those men and through this event “Walk for Men”, we should tell those men that they are an inspiration for all of us. Our appeal is to all those women who are ready to take a few steps and express their feelings out of respect for their family and any man living nearby, We hope that more and more women will join this revolution. “Walk for Men” is not just an event but the first phase of a global movement which is going to start from Kota city in India, our effort is to make this movement reach more than 5 crore people on the global platform. Right now, this is just a first step which will become a long journey with the support of all of you. Let us come together and tell all those hardworking men that those who are either soldiers being deployed on the border, or sometimes making the country proud by becoming players, they are not alone. Respected Members of Parliament, distinguished leaders, and fellow citizens of India, I stand before you with humility and a deep sense of responsibility as a candidate for the office of the Vice-President of our great republic. India’s democracy was built on the supreme sacrifices of our freedom fighters and nurtured for decades by their vision. Today, as that democratic space shrinks and citizens’ rights come under strain, it is our duty to defend the soul of our democratic republic. My candidature is not at all a personal aspiration but a collective effort to protect and strengthen our democratic fabric. Our first Vice-President reminded us, “Democracy is not merely a form of government; it is essentially an attitude of respect and reverence towards our fellow men.” It is these words that inspire my resolve to carry forward a noble tradition. I bring decades of experience in public service. I understand both the spirit and functioning of our democracy. This experience equips me to serve as an impartial and dignified custodian of parliamentary traditions. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru once said, “The strongest bond of unity is the common affection that we hold for our country.” This bond has guided me in every stage of my journey and continues to motivate me to serve as an impartial custodian of our democracy. The Vice-President, as Chairperson of the Rajya Sabha, must embody this balance, wisdom, and neutrality—principles I have always upheld by giving respect to every voice, across party lines. If elected, I will strive to make the Rajya Sabha a true forum of reasoned debate and constructive dialogue. Following the example set by our first Vice-President, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, I pledge to ensure that it remains a chamber of thoughtful deliberation in the national interest instead of avoidable discord. Democracy thrives on cooperation, not confrontation, and my strength lies in listening, mediating, and building consensus. In my vision, the Rajya Sabha must be a chamber where national interests are upheld above partisan concerns. As Babasaheb said, “Democracy is essentially a mode of associated living, of conjoint communicated experience.” And I take inspiration from this vision that democracy must be a shared, collective journey. I have witnessed first-hand the challenges India faces—economic reforms, social justice, climate change, and ensuring opportunities for our youth. The Vice-President’s office provides a platform to guide discussions on these issues with dignity and decorum, steering the Upper House toward policies that truly benefit citizens of this great nation, India, that is, Bharat. By ensuring fairness, I hope to elevate the quality of our lawmaking. Pandit ji, in his historic “Tryst with Destiny” speech, envisioned a nation where “freedom and opportunity” would reach every Indian. As Chair of the Rajya Sabha, I will work to align our debates with that dream. A key priority will be to keep parliamentary practices transparent, inclusive, and participatory so that disruptions don’t overshadow deliberations. Our first Vice-President warned that disorderly conduct erodes public faith. Taking his caution to heart, I will strive to restore an environment where disagreement is expressed with respect and dignity. It should always be reciprocal. I also see the Rajya Sabha as a body that represents the long-term interests of the nation, free from immediate political compulsions. It reflects the idea of federalism and is known as the Council of States. As its Chair, I will encourage detailed discussions on reforms in education, healthcare, digital governance, and environmental sustainability. Dr. Ambedkar often reminded us that political democracy must be matched by social and economic democracy. It is this holistic approach that I wish to strengthen in our parliamentary functioning. Another area where I intend to contribute is in strengthening parliamentary committees. Committees are the backbone of effective lawmaking, and their reports often shape the final outcome of legislation. I will ensure that these committees, referred to by Pandit ji as “the workshops of Parliament”, function with seriousness, independence, and a spirit of consensus-building. I will ensure that these committees do not become shops but function away from the glare of immediate political pressures. India’s parliamentary democracy has stood as a beacon to the world, but it demands continuous nurturing. I will strive to preserve its sanctity by upholding constitutional conventions and morality, ensuring neutrality in proceedings, and protecting the dignity of every member of the House, irrespective of their party affiliations. My role will be to guard the sanctity of the proceedings and not just interpret the rules of procedure. After all, democracy means dialogue, discussion and dissent. Babasaheb’s warning during the Constituent Assembly rings true: “Democracy in India is only a top-dressing on an Indian soil which is essentially undemocratic.” This especially resonates after our experience with the regime that has favoured a few at the cost of crores of citizens of India—Dalits, tribals, backward communities, women, minorities, and youth—who are increasingly being pushed to the margins. It is our duty to prove that democracy in India lives not just in emblematic institutions but in spirit. As Vice-President, I will dedicate myself to preserving the sanctity of our parliamentary system by ensuring absolute neutrality in proceedings and protecting the dignity of each and every member. Honourable Members, I seek your support not for myself, but for the values that define us as a sovereign democratic republic. In this election, there is no party whip, and the ballot is secret. It is not loyalty to any political party, but love for the country that must guide your choice. Each one of you carries the moral responsibility to preserve the conscience, the soul of our beloved nation. By entrusting me with this office, you will be choosing to defend parliamentary traditions, to restore dignity to debate, and to ensure that the Rajya Sabha stands as a true temple of democracy. The Canadian Hindu Volunteers (CHV) strongly and unequivocally condemn the dangerous escalation of Khalistani terrorism rhetoric and Hinduphobic incitement witnessed at the Nagar Kirtans held in Malton and Etobicoke this weekend. The chilling demand that 800,000 Canadian Hindus leave the country is not just hate speech, it is a genocidal call for ethnic cleansing that echoes some of the darkest chapters in global history. These events have made it alarmingly clear that certain Gurdwaras and religious processions are being co-opted by violent Khalistani extremists who exploit Canada’s democratic freedoms to glorify terrorism, incite division, and call for violence against Hindus and democratic states like India. This is not religious freedom, it is terrorism cloaked in sanctity. documents the horrifying scale of Khalistani terrorism in India throughout the 1980s and 1990s, bombings of markets, assassination of moderate Sikhs, Hindus, police officers, and public servants. Thousands were killed. Civilians were gunned down on buses and trains. Entire families were wiped out in the name of a violent, theocratic fantasy. This ideology did not stop at India’s borders. Canada has paid dearly. The 1985 Air India bombing, the deadliest act of aviation terror before 9/11, killed 329 innocent civilians, most of them Canadians. This attack was orchestrated by Khalistani terrorists based in Canada, including Talwinder Singh Parmar, whose portrait is now shamefully paraded in public processions and Gurdwaras, glorified as a martyr. Journalists and political leaders who stood against Khalistani terrorism have been silenced with bullets or threats: •Tara Singh Hayer, a courageous journalist, was assassinated in 1998 after receiving death threats for exposing Khalistani plots. •Ujjal Dosanjh, the former B.C. Premier, was brutally attacked for opposing extremism and defending Canada’s democratic values. •Balraj Deol, Jagdish Grewal, and Deepak Punj have been targeted with threats and intimidation campaigns simply for speaking out against radicalism. •Sikh moderates, police officers, and Hindu shopkeepers in Punjab and Canada alike have faced physical violence, economic boycotts, and harassment from Khalistani terror sympathizers. These are not the actions of “activists.” These are the tactics of radicalized ideologues, many of whom have exploited Canada’s asylum and immigration systems, presenting false claims of persecution to enter the country and build networks that fund, promote, and glorify violence. The calls to expel Hindus are not isolated incidents. They represent a coordinated campaign to push Hinduphobia, terrorism, and anti-India propaganda from the podiums of religious processions under the false flag of “freedom of speech.” If any other group in Canada had called for the mass expulsion of an ethnic or religious community, there would be immediate arrests and investigations. I am especially grateful to our Global GCV CT Executive Director and committee chair, Ms. Lumari, the Head of GCV Ambassadors, along with all the outstanding Philippine GCV warriors. Your extraordinary contribution of 1,429,652 GCV record on blockchain by December 18, 2024, played a critical role in advancing the GCV Movement! We can see these impressive beautiful numbers $314,159 everywhere, and this achievement has been acknowledged by our CT on the GitHub source code as part of the digital currency value and the stablecoin market price. We are now on the path to obtaining a U.S. Cryptocurrency Industry license from the SEC, and we are working hard toward that goal. I am truly impressed by the positive energy and unity of the Philippine community! You are a great example of our Global GCV community. We gather here as one thousand dedicated pioneers, united in our celebration of the achievements we've made within the Pi Network. I encourage all of you to enjoy the delicious food and take this opportunity to motivate and appreciate one another. The Philippine community exemplifies the spirit of global unity, collaboration, and growth. After regrouping with our investors and the team, I’ve made the difficult decision to wind down Hike completely. Our US business, launched just nine months ago, is off to a strong start. But scaling globally would require a full recap, a reset that is not the best use of capital or time. The Big Question → We could raise the capital, but the real question is: is it worth it? Is this a climb worth pivoting for? For the first time in 13 years, my answer is no. Not for me, not for my team, and not for our investors. Why? 1. RMG was never the destination. It was a way to test unit economics and traction in India while working toward a bigger vision. In hindsight, starting in India locked us into the model and regulatory headwinds, turning a temporary path into a more permanent one. 2. The Gaming Nation vision is real, but we may be too early. The world will eventually move toward a Nation-type model in gaming and Web3 - Company 2.0. But crypto regulation is still developing globally, and we don’t want to repeat India, where we hoped for clarity that never came. 3. And most importantly, if doing a full reset, is this where I’d put my own capital and energy today? For the first time, the answer is no. The world has changed in the last decade - and so have I. There are more important problems to solve and bigger opportunities to deploy brilliant talent and capital. Looking Back & Lessons The last 13 years have been immense. Hike Messenger reached 40M MAUs and became the 35th most loved consumer brand in India at its peak. With Rush, we built a brand new kind of Casual PvP gaming platform and scaled it to 10M users and $500M+ in gross revenue in just 4 years. Our execution was super, but we could never quite make it stick. There are clear lessons to carry forward, especially on market selection: 1. Be careful with winner-take-all markets. To win, you need to go global. 2. Don’t build for today’s tech constraints. Build on the spring/summer of new technologies. 3. Regulatory clarity matters. Risk is fine; uncertainty is not. More importantly momentum is everything. And build what your heart and mind are deeply excited about. It’s the conviction that carries you through. This is both a disappointment and a hard outcome. But I choose to look on the bright side: the learnings are invaluable, and my conviction for what’s next is even stronger. To everyone who has been part of this journey - our users, our team, our investors, and our community - thank you. As a CEO, you’re only as strong as your team, and I want to give a special shout-out to mine - an incredible group of people who gave this everything. Hike This chapter ends, but the climb continues. AI → For the first time, technology has both intelligence and memory. Imagine products that don’t just serve us functionally but truly know us - systems that adapt, grow, and partner with us. As a UX-first builder, this is the most exciting time to be building software. 2. Breakthroughs in Energy → Human progress has always been bound by energy. The world’s demand for energy is rising faster than ever. Breakthrough approaches, especially in physics are needed to power the future. The last century gave us mastery of fine matters and electricity, the next will move deeper, at the intersection of science and spirituality - into what yogis call divine magnetism and physicists call the quantum world or electromagnetism. From there will come technologies that today feel impossible to imagine. 3. Mastery of the Self → As AI takes on more of our work, a deeper question will rise: what now defines us? When productivity is no longer the measure of worth, humanity will turn inward. Man’s evolution will move from the intellect to intuitive attunement - a deeper connection with ourselves and the divine (which we’ll realise are one and the same). The tools, spaces, and guides that help us explore this inner world will be as transformative as any innovation in the outer one - unlocking the next level of humanity’s potential. If you put these together, a picture emerges: → the cost of intelligence trending to zero → the cost of energy trending to zero → and the cost of willpower falling lower and lower. Just imagine a future where willpower is infinite, energy is abundant, and intelligence is at our fingertips. Today feels like watching history settle into its rightful place. The Bhagwan Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya now stands complete, crowned with the Dharma Dhwaj. That flag is not just fabric. The rising sun on it reminds us that Prabhu Shri Ram belongs to the royal Suryavansh, a line that upheld truth and duty. The sacred Om at the centre speaks of awareness, devotion and the unbroken connection between the devotee and the divine. The Kovidar tree symbol carries the promise of Ram Rajya, good governance and prosperity as described in our ancient texts. Every symbol on that flag tells the story of a civilisation that refused to forget its ideals. On this day my first instinct is to bow my head to those who carried this struggle on their shoulders. From Advani ji, Modi ji, the sadhus and sadhvis who set out on the Rath Yatra, to countless kar sevaks who slept on railway platforms, walked in the heat, faced lathis and bullets. Many of them never came back. We owe a special salute to those who were shot dead when Mulayam Singh ordered firing on Ram bhakts. Their blood is part of the foundation of this temple. We should also remember who stood on the other side of this story. Lalu Yadav stopped the Rath Yatra. Sonia Gandhi’s party tried in court to argue that Bhagwan Ram was only a myth. Yet in one moment it all felt worth it. When Narendra Modi ji was hoisting the Dharma Dhwaj, look closely at his hands. We have lived through 1984, 1990, 1992, through the years when talking about Ram Mandir in public invited abuse and threats. My father was a swayamsevak and also an Arya Samaji, deeply committed to Hindutva in the purest sense of service and sacrifice. He gave months and years of his life to Dharma, organising, travelling, working day and night for a vision he was not sure he would see fulfilled. He kept that tapasya going till his last breath. Today I feel he is standing in Ayodhya with all of us. Anyone who grew up in the 90s and early 2000s will remember the conversations at home. We would say in simple words “When BJP comes, all this will change. Just once let BJP form a strong government and Ram Mandir will happen.” It sounded childish to some, but it was the only hope millions held on to. When I started campaigning myself, our discussions were always about Article 370, Ram Mandir and many other issues linked to justice for Hindus. Friends would laugh and taunt me. “Neither will BJP come to power nor will any of this happen,” they would say. As a young volunteer I once gathered the courage to ask Advani ji: “Sir, will we really be able to build the temple, looking at how Congress plays politics?” He replied with total confidence, with the voice of a man who had already seen the future in his mind. “No matter what happens, the temple will be built, and it will be built at that very spot.” Today those words echo in Ayodhya. We are fortunate to live in the time of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister, Amit Shah as Home Minister and Yogi Adityanath ji in Uttar Pradesh. Along with the tireless efforts of countless unnamed workers, they turned a five hundred year old wound into a centre of pride. Until 2014 it felt like the story would never move forward. There were only court dates, politics, editorials and insults for believers. Today the chapter has finally turned. The birthplace of Shri Ram once again has a grand mandir, and above it the Dharma Dhwaj that announces to the world that Sanatan faith is alive, awake and standing tall. This is not only about architecture. It is about self respect. It is about telling every kar sevak who walked in the dust of Ayodhya, every swayamsevak who gave their youth, every father and mother who whispered “Mandir wahin banega” to their children, that their trust was not misplaced. I feel grateful to be alive to see this day. Grateful to my father’s generation for keeping the flame burning. Grateful to this nation for never letting the memory of Shri Ram’s birthplace fade. Today, the flag on the shikhara carries the stories of five centuries of struggle and the promise of a new era of confidence. Today feels like watching history settle into its rightful place. The Bhagwan Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya now stands complete, crowned with the Dharma Dhwaj. That flag is not just fabric. The rising sun on it reminds us that Prabhu Shri Ram belongs to the royal Suryavansh, a line that upheld truth and duty. The sacred Om at the centre speaks of awareness, devotion and the unbroken connection between the devotee and the divine. The Kovidar tree symbol carries the promise of Ram Rajya, good governance and prosperity as described in our ancient texts. Every symbol on that flag tells the story of a civilisation that refused to forget its ideals. On this day my first instinct is to bow my head to those who carried this struggle on their shoulders. From Advani ji, Modi ji, the sadhus and sadhvis who set out on the Rath Yatra, to countless kar sevaks who slept on railway platforms, walked in the heat, faced lathis and bullets. Many of them never came back. We owe a special salute to those who were shot dead when Mulayam Singh ordered firing on Ram bhakts. Their blood is part of the foundation of this temple. We should also remember who stood on the other side of this story. Lalu Yadav stopped the Rath Yatra. Sonia Gandhi’s party tried in court to argue that Bhagwan Ram was only a myth. From Creator to Founder: The Rollercoaster Journey of Building Chatter Social Man, what a journey it’s been so far. Four years ago, I was just another creator, spending late nights on Clubhouse during the height of the pandemic. Like so many others, I was searching for connection, for community, for something meaningful. But what I found there wasn’t just connection—it was purpose. Alongside my brother, Jonathan Bing, we built a nightly show that reached over 5 million people. Imagine that: 5 million lives touched by conversations that felt real and unfiltered, all on a platform that at its peak had 10 million monthly active users. Clubhouse was magic. But then the decline began. Watching the platform struggle, I couldn’t help but reflect: what made it great? What went wrong? And what could the future look like if we did things differently? The Spark of Chatter As a content creator, I understood the needs of both creators and users. I knew what excited people, what kept them engaged, and what made them leave. Clubhouse had tapped into something special, but it had missed the mark on scalability and sustainability. By September 2023, I couldn’t stop thinking about the potential for something new—something that brought back the magic of real-time interaction but made it scalable, engaging, and sticky. And so, I set out to build Chatter Social. But I wasn’t a tech founder. I didn’t have a background in software development or a network of Silicon Valley insiders. What I did have was determination and the belief that if I could bring the right people together, we could build something extraordinary. Building the Team The journey to build Chatter started with assembling a team. Through my network from my days on Clubhouse, I found Samir, my first CTO. He believed in the vision and was instrumental in getting the project off the ground. Shortly after, I connected with Tyler, our Head of Design, whose creativity brought life to our ideas. A developer joined us soon after, and we were off to the races. By the end of 2023, Samir had to step away due to other commitments, and we promoted the developer to CTO. At the same time, I brought on Banko, a Sony music executive, as our CMO. Banko’s connections led to one of our biggest early wins: landing Davido, a global superstar, as an owner-ambassador. To this day, I still marvel at the fact that Davido believed in our vision when all we had were Tyler’s Figma designs. From Dream to Reality Early 2024 was a whirlwind. We hired Yurii and Vasyl, two developers from Ukraine who brought incredible skill and dedication to the team. Vasyl, in particular, stood out as a leader and has since earned an equity position in the company. But despite these wins, we were facing growing pains. Our new CTO struggled to meet deadlines, and as a result, I found myself constantly pushing back the launch date. What started as a January release turned into February, then March, then April, then May. By then, people on Twitter Spaces—where I had been hyping up the platform—started doubting if we even had a product. Launch and Lessons June 1, 2024, marked a turning point. It was the day my son Noah was born and the day we launched Chatter in private beta. We started with just 40 users, but by the end of the month, we had grown to 1,000. The engagement was unbelievable. Users loved it, even though we had launched with just one feature: live rooms. This represented less than 20% of what we had planned, but it was enough to show that we were onto something big. In July, we launched our public beta on the App Store as an invite-only platform. Within 48 hours, Chatter ranked as a top 30 social app in over 30 countries. But our invite system throttled access, and most users couldn’t get in. While engagement metrics soared for those inside, our AWS costs exploded. In August, our AWS bill hit $10,000. By September, it had climbed to $15,000, and we were drowning in bugs and glitches. The breaking point came when our CTO became unresponsive, often disappearing during critical moments. Users were dropping off, frustrated by the issues, developers were confused and the team was also growing increasingly frustrated, I made the tough decision to let him go. A New Beginning Enter Horane, a long-time user of Chatter who had been with us since private beta. He was the first to discover some of the most innovative use cases for the platform and had a deep passion for its potential. After meeting him in person at a Chatter event, I knew he was the right person to step into the CTO role. When Horane took over, we discovered just how bad the situation was. Key areas of the codebase were locked, and there were no separate environments for development and production. Every fix seemed to break something else. But through sheer determination and countless 18-hour days, Horane stabilized the platform. Today, Chatter is far from perfect, but it’s stable. The bugs that plagued us have been reduced to moderate issues, and our core users—those who stuck with us through the chaos—are still engaged on the platform. Looking Ahead: Chatter V2 While the platform is stable now, we’ve shifted our focus to Chatter V2. This is where the magic really begins. V2 isn’t just an improvement; it’s a complete reimagining of the platform. It includes all the features we couldn’t release in V1 because we were too busy putting out fires. Imagine this: Chatter V1, with only one live feature, was incredibly sticky. Now think about what happens when we release a fully loaded platform with all the innovative features we’ve been working on behind the scenes. The possibilities are endless. V2 is slated to hit TestFlight by the end of December, with a public release in January 2025. And this time, we’re ready—not just with the product but with the lessons we’ve learned. The Hard Lessons This journey has taught me more than I ever thought possible: 1) Your Team is Everything: The right people can make or break your vision. Finding people who believe in your mission is just as important as finding people with the right skills. 2) Adaptability is Key: As a non-technical founder, I had to learn about development, DevOps, and product management on the fly. Challenges will push you to grow, whether you’re ready or not. 3) Trust the Process: Every setback, every delay, every bug—it all taught us something. Without those lessons, we wouldn’t be building the incredible V2 product we are today. 4) Resilience is Non-Negotiable: From technical disasters to predatory investors who tried to exploit my desperation, I’ve had to fight for this vision every step of the way. What’s Next December is shaping up to be an exciting month. We have some amazing events planned on the platform to close out the year, bringing our core community together as we prepare for the V2 launch. When V2 drops, it will mark a new era for Chatter. This isn’t just a social audio platform or a social audiovisual platform. Chatter is all about interactive experiences—making social media social again in ways that are truly unique. The public launch is slated for February 2025, and for the first time, we’ll have the marketing dollars to tell the world about Chatter. Our core community has been our biggest cheerleaders, and I can’t wait to see how the world reacts when they experience what we’ve built. Final Thoughts This has been the hardest year of my life, but also the most rewarding. I will answer the questions I’ve received and address some important issues we need to focus on to maintain our community's efficiency, particularly regarding our Generals, which will be the topic next weekend. And what practical steps should the GCV army take now to accelerate this path? 2_ There are those who promote the idea that the price of Pi is what appears in the market (currently around $0.49) and compare it to the price of GCV within the ecosystem (314,159 Pi = 1 good or service). Upon reading this information, we have provided many explanations to help the pioneers understand this. I hope you will focus more on this statement to further strengthen our understanding of the subject. Thank you for taking my concerns into consideration" Thank you for the above questions; my answers are below. The first question concerns stablecoins. Many pioneers are hoping that Pi can be recognized by the U.S. government as a stablecoin. I wrote an article on this in May. On July 18, 2025, President Trump signed the Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for US Stablecoins Act (the GENIUS Act) into law. This legislation establishes a regulatory framework for payment stablecoins and marks the first federal legislation on digital assets enacted since President Trump issued an executive order aimed at making the U.S. the “crypto capital of the world.” U.S.-issued stablecoins are expected to become the primary means of dollar transactions globally, especially in emerging markets with unstable local currencies. The sponsors of the GENIUS Act estimate that by 2030, stablecoin issuers may collectively become the largest holders of U.S. Treasuries, surpassing foreign central banks. From this, we can see that U.S. stablecoins must maintain reserves backing outstanding payment stablecoins on a one-to-one basis, consisting only of specified assets, including U.S. dollars and short-term Treasury securities. It is clear that the Pi Network will not take this path, as it is not part of our plan. A stablecoin is essentially a digital representation of the U.S. dollar. All stablecoin issuers do not create a new currency; rather, it’s akin to purchasing chips at a casino – you must use U.S. dollars to buy those chips. However, Pi is a completely new currency. It does not need to be backed up by U.S. dollars or U.S. Treasuries to be used. If that were the case, we wouldn’t need to establish an ecosystem or have a three-year enclosed mainnet. I previously mentioned the possibility of Pi being an algorithmic stablecoin since only algorithmic stablecoins do not need to be backed by U.S. dollars. However, algorithmic stablecoins have faced significant failures in the past. The collapse of the Terra (LUNA) cryptocurrency resulted in a loss of at least $40 billion in market capitalization, with estimates reaching as high as $60 billion. TerraUSD (UST), an algorithmic stablecoin, lost its peg to the U.S. dollar, contributing to its overall collapse. The new stablecoin legislation recently passed through the Senate effectively ties the U.S. Treasury to crypto, as it essentially bets the government’s cash flow on digital tokens and market speculation. This legislation requires stablecoins to be backed by short-term Treasury bills, generating an estimated $2–$3 trillion in new demand for government debt, which is nearly half the current size of the T-bill market. On paper, this looks beneficial, but in reality, it creates a circular feedback loop: crypto demand fuels stablecoins, stablecoins buy T-bills, and T-bills fund government deficits. The government becomes reliant on speculative capital flows. Thus, we should understand why the U.S. government will not support the Pi Network as a stablecoin, as they require stablecoin issuers to buy T-bills and can no longer trust algorithmic stablecoins. So, what is the future of the Pi Network as a currency? From my perspective, Pi is already listed on exchange markets. It cannot be classified as a security because it is mined freely and is not an ICO. Instead, it should be categorized as a commodity, similar to Bitcoin and ETH. When a currency is listed for trading on an exchange, its price is determined by the balance of supply and demand. However, Pi is a currency in its own right; it has inherent value from Pi holders -Pioneers. Historically, currency has served as a medium of exchange. A medium of exchange is a widely accepted item for buying goods and services in an economy. It facilitates transactions by eliminating the need for a barter system, where goods are directly exchanged for other goods. In modern economies, money (such as currency) serves as the primary medium of exchange. **Functions of Money:** One of the core functions of money is to serve as a medium of exchange, enabling the smooth transfer of value between buyers and sellers, thereby simplifying trade and economic activity. **Examples:** In modern economies, this typically includes currency (paper money, coins) or digital money. In specific historical contexts, other items, such as cigarettes in prisoner-of-war camps, have also served as mediums of exchange. **Importance of Acceptance:** For a medium of exchange to function effectively, it must be widely accepted and trusted within the relevant community. **Not the Same as a Payment Method:** While credit cards and checks are used for payments, they do not serve as mediums of exchange themselves. Therefore, stablecoin is not a new currency. It is more likely to have a credit card or check character. It is a USD digital status. From the analysis presented, we can draw the following conclusions: The current price of Pi on the exchange market primarily serves as a temporary measure to facilitate broad expansion. In the spring of 2022, former President Barack Obama gave a major policy addressat Stanford University’s Cyber Policy Center, where he laid out a sweeping proposal for government censorship of social media platforms through the Platform Accountability and Transparency Act. Six days later, President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security announced that it had created a “Disinformation Governance Board” to serve as an Orwellian Ministry of Truth with the clear goal of controlling the information Americans could access online. At the heart of Obama’s vision for Internet censorship was legislation that would have authorized the US government’s National Science Foundation to authorize and fund supposedly independent NGOs to censor the Internet. The DHS and Stanford Internet Observatory, which was part of the Stanford Cyber Policy Center, pioneered this censorship-by-proxy strategy as a way to get around the First Amendment in 2020 with posts raising concerns about the 2020 elections and in 2021 with “narratives” expressing concern about the Covid vaccine. The 2024 election of President Donald Trump significantly reduced the threat of Obama, DHS, and NSF censoring the American people. Trump defunded much of the Censorship Industrial Complex. The Platform Accountability Act is going nowhere in Congress. Elon Musk fired most of the censorship staff at Twitter and has allowed a significantly wider range of speech on the platform. And even before Trump’s election, Stanford donor Frank McCourt stopped funding the Stanford Internet Observatory after Public, Racket News, and House Weaponization Subcommittee Chairman Jim Jordan exposed its central role in the DHS censorship-by-proxy scheme. But now, foreign governments, including Europe, the UK, Brazil, Australia, and others are demanding censorship, including of the American people. The risk is that US tech companies will find it significantly less expensive to have a single global censorship regime and just go along with foreign censorship requests. Facebook complied with Biden administration demands to censor because it needed Biden’s help in dealing with European censorship officials. And the Brazilian government forced Elon Musk to continue censoring the Brazilian people after it froze Starlink’s assets. And Public has discovered that the Stanford Cyber Policy Center, which is led by Obama’s former ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul, is at the heart of a new, secretive, and possibly illegal censorship initiative that appears even more ambitious than the one Obama proposed in 2022. On September 24, the Cyber Policy Center hosted a secret dinner between its leaders and top censorship officials from Europe, UK, Brazil, California and Australia. The meeting was titled “Compliance and Enforcement in a Rapidly Evolving Landscape.” Frank McCourt, the same person behind the Stanford Internet Observatory, financed the gathering through his “Project Liberty Institute,” (PLI), toward which he gave $500 million to “strengthen democracy” and “foster responsible technology.” Public emailed all 21 participants and organizers and only heard from four, PLI, the Australian government, the UK government, and the European Union, which declined to comment because, even though Public gave it over 24 hours, a spokesperson said, “We would need several days.” The UK government said, “The legal framework gives Ofcom power to enforce the duties in the Act which are related to securing protections for people in the UK; it does not give Ofcom powers to enforce under any other legal regimes…. Ofcom has always engaged with various international forums and networks across all of the sectors we regulate, including online safety, spectrum, telecommunications, post, and broadcast and media. Regulators around the world regularly exchange insights, experience, and best practice.” A spokesperson for PLI said it “has made unrestricted gifts to several academic research programs, including Stanford University” and that “PLI does not receive funding from governments, intergovernmental organizations, or large technology companies.” But PLI’s own policy “blueprint” reveals that it is demanding a single total global censorship regime and intends to use the EU’s market power, known as the “Brussels effect,” to force big tech companies to comply. The blueprint calls for governments to “Recommit to a Single, Global Internet,” with “regulatory interoperability and oversight, to achieve a single unified market” and use the large size of the EU market to “drive bilateral and multilateral agendas to formally enshrine reciprocal guarantees.” A spokesperson for the Australian government said, “Whilst in attendance at Stanford for the 2-day conference, some attendees, including trust and safety researchers, industry, civil society, and government representatives, were also invited to attend an informal evening roundtable event organised by Stanford University entitled, ‘Compliance and Enforcement in a Rapidly Evolving Landscape.’ This roundtable did not involve any discussion of compliance coordination or regulatory information sharing.” The Australian spokesperson claimed that “eSafety has no role in regulating hate speech or disinformation. eSafety has no remit or interest in regulating the affairs of other nations, nor does it have any role in diplomatic, trade or other government-to-government relations.” But it also said, “As the internet is global and functions irrespective of national borders, by necessity eSafety collaborates with law enforcement, other government agencies, and non-government partners around the world, including in the United States.” The leaked agenda’s stated purpose was to “discuss the state of compliance and enforcement” in order to “identify where data, research, and expertise can enable more effective compliance with and enforcement of existing policy.” Much of the following two days of the public conference were focused on coordinating government censorship (“regulation”) of social media platforms, and the other nations that attended the meeting are all intensively involved in censoring their citizens and US tech companies. And, the head of Australia’s eSafety, Julie Inman-Grant, who was a keynote speaker at Stanford’s foreign censorship meeting, is also the head of a global government censorship network that serves as forum, she told the World Economic Forum, “to help us coordinate, build capacity and do just that…. We use the tools that we have, and can be effective, but we know we’re going to be, go, much further, when we work together with other like-minded independent statutory authorities around the globe.” As such, the people who are demanding censorship are once again spreading disinformation about what they are doing. All of this is happening in a context of global censorship intensifying. The UK government arrests 30 people per day for “offensive” social media posts, is attempting to censor 4Chan, which has no servers in the UK, and will mandate digital IDs for employment, which may give unprecedented control to politicians and bureaucrats to censor. The Brazilian government has, for year,s been censoring journalists and policymakers, incarcerating people for legal social media content, and threatening prosecution of journalists, including this author. And several European nations are censoring and arresting their citizens, preventing opposition political candidates from running for office, and preparing to implement digital IDs. The meeting was titled “Compliance and Enforcement in a Rapidly Evolving Landscape.” Frank McCourt, the same person behind the Stanford Internet Observatory, financed the gathering through his “Project Liberty Institute,” (PLI), toward which he gave $500 million to “strengthen democracy” and “foster responsible technology.” Public emailed all 21 participants and organizers and only heard from four, PLI, the Australian government, the UK government, and the European Union, which declined to comment because, even though Public gave it over 24 hours, a spokesperson said, “We would need several days.” The UK government said, “The legal framework gives Ofcom power to enforce the duties in the Act which are related to securing protections for people in the UK; it does not give Ofcom powers to enforce under any other legal regimes…. Ofcom has always engaged with various international forums and networks across all of the sectors we regulate, including online safety, spectrum, telecommunications, post, and broadcast and media. Regulators around the world regularly exchange insights, experience, and best practice.” A spokesperson for PLI said it “has made unrestricted gifts to several academic research programs, including Stanford University” and that “PLI does not receive funding from governments, intergovernmental organizations, or large technology companies.” But PLI’s own policy “blueprint” reveals that it is demanding a single total global censorship regime and intends to use the EU’s market power, known as the “Brussels effect,” to force big tech companies to comply. The blueprint calls for governments to “Recommit to a Single, Global Internet,” with “regulatory interoperability and oversight, to achieve a single unified market” and use the large size of the EU market to “drive bilateral and multilateral agendas to formally enshrine reciprocal guarantees.” A spokesperson for the Australian government said, “Whilst in attendance at Stanford for the 2-day conference, some attendees, including trust and safety researchers, industry, civil society, and government representatives, were also invited to attend an informal evening roundtable event organised by Stanford University entitled, ‘Compliance and Enforcement in a Rapidly Evolving Landscape.’ This roundtable did not involve any discussion of compliance coordination or regulatory information sharing.” The Australian spokesperson claimed that “eSafety has no role in regulating hate speech or disinformation. eSafety has no remit or interest in regulating the affairs of other nations, nor does it have any role in diplomatic, trade or other government-to-government relations.” But it also said, “As the internet is global and functions irrespective of national borders, by necessity eSafety collaborates with law enforcement, other government agencies, and non-government partners around the world, including in the United States.” The leaked agenda’s stated purpose was to “discuss the state of compliance and enforcement” in order to “identify where data, research, and expertise can enable more effective compliance with and enforcement of existing policy.” Much of the following two days of the public conference were focused on coordinating government censorship (“regulation”) of social media platforms, and the other nations that attended the meeting are all intensively involved in censoring their citizens and US tech companies. And, the head of Australia’s eSafety, Julie Inman-Grant, who was a keynote speaker at Stanford’s foreign censorship meeting, is also the head of a global government censorship network that serves as forum, she told the World Economic Forum, “to help us coordinate, build capacity and do just that…. We use the tools that we have, and can be effective, but we know we’re going to be, go, much further, when we work together with other like-minded independent statutory authorities around the globe.” As such, the people who are demanding censorship are once again spreading disinformation about what they are doing. All of this is happening in a context of global censorship intensifying. The UK government arrests 30 people per day for “offensive” social media posts, is attempting to censor 4Chan, which has no servers in the UK, and will mandate digital IDs for employment, which may give unprecedented control to politicians and bureaucrats to censor. The Brazilian government has, for year,s been censoring journalists and policymakers, incarcerating people for legal social media content, and threatening prosecution of journalists, including this author. And several European nations are censoring and arresting their citizens, preventing opposition political candidates from running for office, and preparing to implement digital IDs. 2017 Capitulation Tour ⚔️ The plan to save the world has been in the making for many years. To the casual onlooker, the outworking of that plan may have looked a whole lot more sinister. This plan required precision and had to be designed carefully. It was the only way to stop the incredible crimes being carried out around the world. These crimes involved the children. Before we get into this post, let’s make sure we understand the meaning of the word ‘capitulate’ taken from the Merriam-Webster Dictionary: Definition of ‘capitulate‘ intransitive verb a: to surrender, often after negotiation of terms The enemy was forced to capitulate unconditionally. b: to cease resisting : ACQUIESCE The company capitulated to the labor union to avoid a strike. CAPITULATE stresses the fact of ending all resistance and may imply either a coming to terms (as with an adversary) or hopelessness in the face of an irresistible opposing force. Some Synonyms for ‘capitulate’ bow, concede, give in, knuckle under, quit, relent, submit, succumb, surrender, yield Why is this important? It’s important because this is exactly what the heads of each country around the world did when faced with dossiers of factual information about their ‘misdemeanors’. When 🎖️The Commander In Chief 🎖️was inaugurated, there was something keeping him busy for about 18 months. During that time he traveled the world visiting the country heads. On arrival, he presented them with huge dossiers: Definition of ‘dossier‘ Taken from Merriam-Webster Dictionary A file containing detailed records on a particular person or subject. Examples: The patient’s medical dossier Police began compiling a dossier on him. These huge dossiers contained damning information against the recipients. More often than not, the information related to one or more of the following: ▶️Human Trafficking ▶️Satanic Rituals ▶️Pedophilia ▶️Sex Trafficking Regarding children (Notice: I tried to use these words in a different order but continually ended up with an error/warning that wouldn’t allow it! There is a complete team of White Hats (good people who only want good for this world) working alongside him. He acts as the face to these people, and was chosen because of his tenacity and determination to see a job through to the end. Every country, because of the sheer amount of damning evidence against them, capitulated. It happened either immediately, or by the next morning, after they had had time to peruse the contents. Step #1 Saudi Arabia🏳️⤵️ (July 2017) During President Trump’s visit, the Saudi’s capitulated to him. They had to show everyone else that they had done so: They had just performed the Sword Dance. Only the King is allowed to hold the sword during the Sword Dance Ritual, but here we see it being held by President Trump. That was the sign. The new Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (now King) works very closely with President Trump and Team in aiding to drain the swamp. Step #2 Israel🏳️⤵️ Some of the Saudi’s then went with President Trump to his next destination. They were earning points towards their own salvation, so they wouldn’t be as harshly punished as they could have been. These Saudi’s, because of the capitulation, are now a part of the White Hats, helping ferret out others they know are involved in the same kind of abominations. The Israelite’s really balked at what President Trump was saying. It took an extra day before they finally gave in. They were the hardest country of all. How do we know they capitulated? That was when they agreed to allow the movement of U.S.A’s embassy to Jerusalem. This symbolizes who is in power in Israel. It was a symbolic act. Step #3 – Vatican City🏳️⤵️ His next move, a few days later, was to turns up at the Vatican to see Pope Francis. The dossier they had was so very huge! Vatican – Pope Francis (very sad) capitulates to President Trump (very happy)! Why did they have to concede? Actually, there were many reasons why, but that’s a story for another time. Please do your own research. The Pope would certainly not have surrendered unless the evidence against him and the church was solid and true! The plan to save the world from this evil stranglehold: Step #4 – Brussels European Parliament for the EU NATO 🏳️ President Trump called everyone together, then he purposefully arrived late, causing them to sweat it out as to what was going on! He walked in late and threw the big folder on the table. He said “We have it all!” In a very short time, they all capitulated! In the days after this, the EU backed down on Brexit, and other issues were taken care of. From this point on, the United States no longer paid for NATO. He told them they could now pay. They obeyed, because now he was in charge! Trump’s visit to Brussels paid off well… they were all there! All these officials would not have capitulated if the evidence against them wasn’t as solid as a rock. Step #5 CEO's From Major Corparations 🏳️ Google Twitter Microsoft Apple Facebook Black Rock Vanguard etc These people are all minions, or puppets, for the New World Order (One World Government). He showed them all the documentation the NSA (National Security Agency) had against them. Bin Salman said they either come onboard and play for Team Trump, (as he is in total control of these corporations), or declass! All of the information would be declassified, one by one, and each one of them would be shown to the masses as a child-murderer! They all capitulated! 🏳️ Bin Salman sees Jack Dorsey (Twitter) Bin Salman sees Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) The interesting thing is that President Trump is the owner of all these Media outlets now, even though it’s kept quiet. All the troubles people experience with them today is not because of these ‘heads’. It’s because President Trump is trying to get us all to see what these people have been up to… and to take a stand! Interesting Note: It’s the same with each country. He wants the people within the country to see just how bad their leaders were… and to take a stand against them. This is done only by the highest figure in the land! Japan is now in submission to President Trump, the NSA and the *Q* Team. Step #7 South Korea/North Korea 🏳️⤵️ One of the biggest procurers of Adrenochrome has always been Asia, and South East Asia. They were deeply involved with Hollywood and Washington DC politicians. These people needed children for their drugs and have leaned heavily on the South East Asian governments. It’s been going on for many years. As he showed them all the documents, and because they knew their crimes were capital punishment acts, they all capitulated. In secret, he went to the North Korean border and began his peace talks with Kim Jong-un. Step #8 China🏳️⤵️ Soon after President Trump became president, the Chinese president paid him a visit. The method used by China to show they had surrended to Trump was to allow him into the Forbidden City. By the Chinese president allowing this, it is bigger than we can possibly understand or imagine! Step #9 Vietnam 🏳️⤵️ In a very public ceremony, President Trump was placed slightly in front of the Vietnamese president, and to the right. The Vietnamese promised to stop their participation in procuring children, human tracking and such-like. They gave in easily. Step #10 Davos, Switzerland🏳️⤵️ (Early January, 2018) President Trump called this meeting in Davos, Switzerland. It contained the ‘Who’s Who’ of all the major companies, including George Soros. Much evil was in attendance. Remember, President Trump was outworking his plan to save the world! All these people were all presented with envelopes the day before. At the meeting above, they were given folders which stated all the NSA information collected on them. Underneath these mountains were a great many very deep tunnels. It was a very brave move by President Trump to even go there. He so easily could have disappeared forever ‘down below’! But of-course, he wouldn’t have gone there alone. He was the first of many Prime Ministers to hold hands in such a way that suggested their hands were tied… It said: ‘I’m sorry, my hands are tied.’ Central America Step #12🏳️⤵️ Mexico President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrado (AMLO) of Mexico really resisted, but finally surrendered to Trump. Step #13 The rest of the Central American Countries After Mexico, 🏳️⤵️ he went to all the rest of the countries in Central America. They all did as they had to. Once again, they all held their wrists together as if they were being bound and forced into doing it. It was that choice that infinitely broadened the boundaries of European humanism and that enables us to say that no one will ever be able to return Russia back into the past. As for European integration, we not just support these processes, but we are looking to them with hope. We view them as a people who have learned the lesson of the Cold War and the peril of the ideology of occupation very well. But here, I think, it would be pertinent to add that Europe did not gain from that division either. It is my firm conviction that in today's rapidly changing world, in a world witnessing truly dramatic demographic changes and an exceptionally high economic growth in some regions, Europe also has an immediate interest in promoting relations with Russia. No one calls in question the great value of Europe's relations with the United States. I am just of the opinion that Europe will reinforce its reputation of a strong and truly independent centre of world politics soundly and for a long time if it succeeds in bringing together its own potential and that of Russia, including its human, territorial and natural resources and its economic, cultural and defence potential. Together we have already taken the first steps in that direction. The time has now come to think about what should be done to make sure that a united and secure Europe becomes the harbinger of a united and secure world. Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, We have done a great deal in the security sphere over the past few years. The security system that we have built over the previous decades has been improved. One of the achievements of the past decade is the unprecedentedly low concentration of armed forces and armaments in Central Europe and the Baltic. Russia is a friendly European nation. Stable peace on the continent is a paramount goal for our country, which lived through a century of military catastrophes. As everyone knows, we have ratified the Comprehensive Nuclear Tests Ban Treaty, the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty, the Biological Weapons Convention, and also the START-2 Treaty. Regrettably, not all the NATO countries have followed our example. But once we, distinguished ladies and gentlemen, have started to discuss security, we should first and foremost understand from whom we are to defend ourselves, and how. In this context I cannot but mention the catastrophe in the United States on September 11. People the world over keep asking how that could have happened and who is to blame. I will give you answers to these questions. I think we all are to blame for what happened, and first and foremost we, politicians, to whom the ordinary citizens of our nations have entrusted their security. And this happens first and foremost because we have so far failed to recognize the changes that have happened in our world over the past ten years and continue to live in the old system of values: we are talking about partnership, but in reality we have not yet learned to trust each other. In spite of a plethora of sweet words, we are still surreptitiously opposed to each other. Now we demand loyalty to NATO, now argue about the rationale behind its enlargement. And we are still unable to agree on the problems of a missile defence system. Over long decades of the 20th century the world was indeed living under conditions of confrontation between the two systems, confrontation that pushed humanity to the brink of annihilation on more than one occasion. That was so fearsome and we grew so accustomed to live with that anticipation of catastrophe that we are still unable to understand and appreciate the changes taking place in today's world. We seem to be missing the fact that the world is no longer divided into two hostile camps. The world has become far more complex, distinguished ladies and gentlemen. We do not want or are unable to understand that the security structure built over the previous decades that was effective in neutralizing former threats is no longer able to cope with new threats of today. Too often we continue to argue over issues which we think are still important. They probably still are. But at the same time we do not recognize new real threats and turn out to be unable to foresee terrorist attacks – and so ruthless terrorist attacks at that! Hundreds of innocent civilians died in the bombing of residential houses in Moscow and other large Russian cities. Religious fanatics, having captured power in Chechnya and having turned ordinary citizens into their hostages, mounted a brazen large-scale armed attack against the neighboring Republic of Daghestan. International terrorists have openly – quite openly – declared their intention to establish a fundamentalist state on the territory between the Black and the Caspian Sea – the so-called khalifate, or the United States of Islam. I would like to stress right away that talking about any ”war between civilizations“ is inadmissible. It would be a mistake to put the equation mark between Moslems in general and religious fanatics. In our country, for example, the defeat of the aggressors in 1999 was predetermined by the courageous and tough rebuff of the residents of Daghestan, a Russian republic the population of which is virtually 100 percent Moslem. Shortly before my departure for Berlin I met with the religious leaders of Russia's Moslems. They came up with the initiative of convening an international conference on ”Islam Against Terrorism“ in Moscow. I think we should support this initiative. Today we are coming up against not so much the aggravation of the well-known international problems as the rise of new threats. Russia is taking practical steps to put up, together with some CIS nations, a real barrier in the way of the traffic of drugs, organized crime and fundamentalism from Afghanistan via Central Asia and the Caucasus into Europe. Terrorism, national intolerance, separatism and religious extremism everywhere have the same roots and bear the same poisonous fruit. That is why the methods of fighting these problems should be universal as well. But first agreement needs to be reached on the fundamental matter: we should not be afraid of calling a spade a spade. And it is extremely important to understand that evil deeds cannot be used to achieve political objectives, however noble such objectives may seem. Naturally, evil must be punished, and I agree with that. But we should also understand that no retaliatory strikes will replace comprehensive, purposeful and well-coordinated struggle against terrorism. I absolutely agree with the US President on that. I think our partners' readiness to joint efforts in countering real rather than illusory threats will demonstrate how serious and reliable they are as partners. These threats are quite capable of spilling over from the distant frontiers of our continent to the very heart of Europe. I talked about that on more than one occasion, but after what happened in the US there is no need to prove anything. But what are we lacking today for cooperation to be efficient? In spite of all the positive achievements of the past decades, we have not yet developed an efficient mechanism for working together. The coordinating agencies set up so far do not offer Russia real opportunities for taking part in drafting and taking decision. Today decisions are often taken, in principle, without our participation, and we are only urged afterwards to support such decisions. After that they talk again about loyalty to NATO. They even say that such decisions cannot be implemented without Russia. Let us ask ourselves: is this normal? Is this true partnership? Yes, the assertion of democratic principles in international relations, the ability to find a correct decision and readiness for compromise are a difficult thing. But then, it was the Europeans who were the first to understand how important it is to look for consensus over and above national egoism. We agree with that! All these are good ideas. However, the quality of decisions that are taken, their efficiency and, ultimately, European and international security in general depend on the extent to which we succeed today in translating these obvious principles into practical politics. It seemed just recently that a truly common home would shortly rise on the continent, a home in which the Europeans would not be divided into eastern or western, northern or southern. However, these divides will remain, primarily because we have never fully shed many of the Cold War stereotypes and cliches. Today we must say once and for all: the Cold War is done with! We have entered a new stage of development. We understand that without a modern, sound and sustainable security architecture we will never be able to create an atmosphere of trust on the continent, and without that atmosphere of trust there can be no united Greater Europe! Today we must say that we renounce our stereotypes and ambitions and from now on will jointly work for the security of the people of Europe and the world as a whole. Dear friends, Today, thank God, Russia is talked about in Europe not only in the context of oligarchs, corruption and Mafia. However, there still is a substantial lack of objective information about Russia. I can say with absolute confidence that the key goal of Russia's domestic policy is first and foremost to ensure democratic rights and freedoms, decent living standards and safety for the people of the country. However, distinguished colleagues, let us look back at some events of the recent past. Russia took the painful road of reform. The scope of the tasks we had to address is without parallel in history. Naturally, mistakes were made. Not all the problems have been resolved, but today Russia is a quite dynamic part of the European continent. Moreover, it is dynamic not only politically, but also economically, which is especially encouraging. Political stability in Russia is ensured by a number of economic factors, not the least by one of the world's most liberal taxation systems. Our income tax is 13% and profit tax 24%, and this is real. Last year our economic growth was 8%. This year we expected to get just 4%, but most likely we will have about 6% — say, 5.5–5.7%. We will wait and see. At the same time my conviction is that only large-scale and equal pan-European cooperation will make it possible to achieve qualitative progress in resolving such problems as unemployment, environmental pollution and many others. We are set on close trade and economic cooperation. In the nearest future we intend to join the World Trade Organization. We count on international and European organizations' support for our bid. I would like to draw your attention to things which you as members of parliament will undoubtedly be able to appreciate better and which cannot be dismissed as propaganda. As a matter of fact, our nation has gone through a revision of priorities and values. Spending on social needs tops the 2002 consolidated budget. And I would like to stress specifically that for the first time in Russia's history spending on education has exceeded defence expenditures. Distinguished colleagues, Permit me to say a couple words about Russian-German relations. I would like to dwell separately on this matter. Russian-German relations are as old as our nations. The first German tribes appeared on Russian territory in the late first century. In the late 19th century Germans were the ninth most numerous ethnic group in Russia. But what is important is not just the numbers, but the role played by these people in the development of the country and in Russian-German relations. They were peasants and merchants, intellectuals, military men and politicians. The German historian Michael Stuermer observed: ”Russia and America are divided by oceans, while Russia and Germany are divided by a great history.“ I would say that history, just like oceans, not only divides, but also unites. The important thing is to correctly interpret this history. As a good neighbor in the West, Germany often symbolized for the Russians Europe, European culture, technical intellect and entrepreneurial wit. Small wonder that in the past all Europeans were known as Germans in Russia, and the Europeans' settlement in Moscow was known as the German Village. Naturally, the cultural influences of the two peoples were reciprocal. Many generations of Germans and Russians studied and continue to enjoy works by Goethe, Dostoyevsky and Leo Tolstoy. Our peoples understand each other's mentality very well, as is amply evidenced by the marvelous Russian translations of German authors. They closely replicate the text and keep the pace of the narration and the mood and beauty of the original. One example is the translation of Doctor Faustus by Boris Pasternak. Ladies and gentlemen, There are different pages in our history, some of them rather painful, especially those relating to the 20th century. But in the past we often acted as allies. The relations between the two European nations were every now and then reinforced by marital unions between dynasties. Generally, women had a special role to play in our history. let us recall, for example, the daughter of the Grand Duke Ludwig IV of Hessen-Darmstadt, known in Russia as Princess Elizabeth. Following the assassination of her husband, she founded a nunnery, and during World War I she nursed wounded soldiers, both Russians and Germans. In 1918 she was executed by the Bolsheviks, but recently she was rehabilitated and sanctified for everyone to honor. A monument to her stands in the heart of Moscow today. Nor should we forget Princess Sophia Augusta Frederika of Anhalt-Zerbst, who made a unique contribution to Russian history. Ordinary Russians called her Mother, but she went down in history as Russian Empress Catherine the Great. Today's Germany is Russia's leading economic partner, our most important creditor, one of the principal investors and a key interlocutor in discussing international politics. I will give you one example: last year trade between our countries hit an all-time record of 41.5 billion marks. This compares with the Soviet Union's aggregate trade with both German states. Can we be happy with this and sit back and relax? I don't think so. Russian-German cooperation still has sufficient potentialities for development. I am convinced that today we are turning over a new page in our bilateral relations, thereby making our joint contribution to building a common European home. In conclusion I would like to say the words that were once used to characterize Germany and its capital. I would like to apply this idea to Russia and say: of course, we are at the beginning of the road to building a democratic society and a market economy. There are barriers and obstacles on that road that we are to surmount. However, if we leave aside objective problems and occasional ineptness of our own, we will see the beat of Russia's strong, live heart. And this heart is open to true cooperation and partnership."

In this context I cannot but mention the catastrophe in the United States on September 11. People the world over keep asking how that could have happened and who is to blame. I will give you answers to these questions. I think we all are to blame for what happened, and first and foremost we, politicians, to whom the ordinary citizens of our nations have entrusted their security. And this happens first and foremost because we have so far failed to recognize the changes that have happened in our world over the past ten years and continue to live in the old system of values: we are talking about partnership, but in reality we have not yet learned to trust each other. In spite of a plethora of sweet words, we are still surreptitiously opposed to each other. Now we demand loyalty to NATO, now argue about the rationale behind its enlargement. And we are still unable to agree on the problems of a missile defence system. Over long decades of the 20th century the world was indeed living under conditions of confrontation between the two systems, confrontation that pushed humanity to the brink of annihilation on more than one occasion. That was so fearsome and we grew so accustomed to live with that anticipation of catastrophe that we are still unable to understand and appreciate the changes taking place in today's world. We seem to be missing the fact that the world is no longer divided into two hostile camps. The world has become far more complex, distinguished ladies and gentlemen. We do not want or are unable to understand that the security structure built over the previous decades that was effective in neutralizing former threats is no longer able to cope with new threats of today. Too often we continue to argue over issues which we think are still important. They probably still are. But at the same time we do not recognize new real threats and turn out to be unable to foresee terrorist attacks – and so ruthless terrorist attacks at that! Hundreds of innocent civilians died in the bombing of residential houses in Moscow and other large Russian cities. Religious fanatics, having captured power in Chechnya and having turned ordinary citizens into their hostages, mounted a brazen large-scale armed attack against the neighboring Republic of Daghestan. International terrorists have openly – quite openly – declared their intention to establish a fundamentalist state on the territory between the Black and the Caspian Sea – the so-called khalifate, or the United States of Islam. I would like to stress right away that talking about any ”war between civilizations“ is inadmissible. It would be a mistake to put the equation mark between Moslems in general and religious fanatics. In our country, for example, the defeat of the aggressors in 1999 was predetermined by the courageous and tough rebuff of the residents of Daghestan, a Russian republic the population of which is virtually 100 percent Moslem. Shortly before my departure for Berlin I met with the religious leaders of Russia's Moslems. They came up with the initiative of convening an international conference on ”Islam Against Terrorism“ in Moscow. I think we should support this initiative. Today we are coming up against not so much the aggravation of the well-known international problems as the rise of new threats. Russia is taking practical steps to put up, together with some CIS nations, a real barrier in the way of the traffic of drugs, organized crime and fundamentalism from Afghanistan via Central Asia and the Caucasus into Europe. Terrorism, national intolerance, separatism and religious extremism everywhere have the same roots and bear the same poisonous fruit. That is why the methods of fighting these problems should be universal as well. But first agreement needs to be reached on the fundamental matter: we should not be afraid of calling a spade a spade. And it is extremely important to understand that evil deeds cannot be used to achieve political objectives, however noble such objectives may seem. Naturally, evil must be punished, and I agree with that. But we should also understand that no retaliatory strikes will replace comprehensive, purposeful and well-coordinated struggle against terrorism. I absolutely agree with the US President on that. I think our partners' readiness to joint efforts in countering real rather than illusory threats will demonstrate how serious and reliable they are as partners. These threats are quite capable of spilling over from the distant frontiers of our continent to the very heart of Europe. I talked about that on more than one occasion, but after what happened in the US there is no need to prove anything. But what are we lacking today for cooperation to be efficient? In spite of all the positive achievements of the past decades, we have not yet developed an efficient mechanism for working together. The coordinating agencies set up so far do not offer Russia real opportunities for taking part in drafting and taking decision. Today decisions are often taken, in principle, without our participation, and we are only urged afterwards to support such decisions. After that they talk again about loyalty to NATO. They even say that such decisions cannot be implemented without Russia. Let us ask ourselves: is this normal? Is this true partnership? Yes, the assertion of democratic principles in international relations, the ability to find a correct decision and readiness for compromise are a difficult thing. But then, it was the Europeans who were the first to understand how important it is to look for consensus over and above national egoism. We agree with that! All these are good ideas. However, the quality of decisions that are taken, their efficiency and, ultimately, European and international security in general depend on the extent to which we succeed today in translating these obvious principles into practical politics. It seemed just recently that a truly common home would shortly rise on the continent, a home in which the Europeans would not be divided into eastern or western, northern or southern. However, these divides will remain, primarily because we have never fully shed many of the Cold War stereotypes and cliches. Today we must say once and for all: the Cold War is done with! We have entered a new stage of development. We understand that without a modern, sound and sustainable security architecture we will never be able to create an atmosphere of trust on the continent, and without that atmosphere of trust there can be no united Greater Europe! Today we must say that we renounce our stereotypes and ambitions and from now on will jointly work for the security of the people of Europe and the world as a whole. Dear friends, Today, thank God, Russia is talked about in Europe not only in the context of oligarchs, corruption and Mafia. However, there still is a substantial lack of objective information about Russia. I can say with absolute confidence that the key goal of Russia's domestic policy is first and foremost to ensure democratic rights and freedoms, decent living standards and safety for the people of the country. However, distinguished colleagues, let us look back at some events of the recent past. Russia took the painful road of reform. The scope of the tasks we had to address is without parallel in history. Naturally, mistakes were made. Not all the problems have been resolved, but today Russia is a quite dynamic part of the European continent. Moreover, it is dynamic not only politically, but also economically, which is especially encouraging. Political stability in Russia is ensured by a number of economic factors, not the least by one of the world's most liberal taxation systems. Our income tax is 13% and profit tax 24%, and this is real. Last year our economic growth was 8%. This year we expected to get just 4%, but most likely we will have about 6% — say, 5.5–5.7%. We will wait and see. At the same time my conviction is that only large-scale and equal pan-European cooperation will make it possible to achieve qualitative progress in resolving such problems as unemployment, environmental pollution and many others. We are set on close trade and economic cooperation. In the nearest future we intend to join the World Trade Organization. We count on international and European organizations' support for our bid. I would like to draw your attention to things which you as members of parliament will undoubtedly be able to appreciate better and which cannot be dismissed as propaganda. As a matter of fact, our nation has gone through a revision of priorities and values. Spending on social needs tops the 2002 consolidated budget. And I would like to stress specifically that for the first time in Russia's history spending on education has exceeded defence expenditures. Distinguished colleagues, Permit me to say a couple words about Russian-German relations. I would like to dwell separately on this matter. Russian-German relations are as old as our nations. The first German tribes appeared on Russian territory in the late first century. In the late 19th century Germans were the ninth most numerous ethnic group in Russia. But what is important is not just the numbers, but the role played by these people in the development of the country and in Russian-German relations. They were peasants and merchants, intellectuals, military men and politicians. The German historian Michael Stuermer observed: ”Russia and America are divided by oceans, while Russia and Germany are divided by a great history.“ I would say that history, just like oceans, not only divides, but also unites. The important thing is to correctly interpret this history. As a good neighbor in the West, Germany often symbolized for the Russians Europe, European culture, technical intellect and entrepreneurial wit. Small wonder that in the past all Europeans were known as Germans in Russia, and the Europeans' settlement in Moscow was known as the German Village. Naturally, the cultural influences of the two peoples were reciprocal. Many generations of Germans and Russians studied and continue to enjoy works by Goethe, Dostoyevsky and Leo Tolstoy. Our peoples understand each other's mentality very well, as is amply evidenced by the marvelous Russian translations of German authors. They closely replicate the text and keep the pace of the narration and the mood and beauty of the original. One example is the translation of Doctor Faustus by Boris Pasternak. Ladies and gentlemen, There are different pages in our history, some of them rather painful, especially those relating to the 20th century. But in the past we often acted as allies. The relations between the two European nations were every now and then reinforced by marital unions between dynasties. Generally, women had a special role to play in our history. let us recall, for example, the daughter of the Grand Duke Ludwig IV of Hessen-Darmstadt, known in Russia as Princess Elizabeth. Following the assassination of her husband, she founded a nunnery, and during World War I she nursed wounded soldiers, both Russians and Germans. In 1918 she was executed by the Bolsheviks, but recently she was rehabilitated and sanctified for everyone to honor. A monument to her stands in the heart of Moscow today. Nor should we forget Princess Sophia Augusta Frederika of Anhalt-Zerbst, who made a unique contribution to Russian history. Ordinary Russians called her Mother, but she went down in history as Russian Empress Catherine the Great. Today's Germany is Russia's leading economic partner, our most important creditor, one of the principal investors and a key interlocutor in discussing international politics. I will give you one example: last year trade between our countries hit an all-time record of 41.5 billion marks. This compares with the Soviet Union's aggregate trade with both German states. Can we be happy with this and sit back and relax? I don't think so. Russian-German cooperation still has sufficient potentialities for development. I am convinced that today we are turning over a new page in our bilateral relations, thereby making our joint contribution to building a common European home. In conclusion I would like to say the words that were once used to characterize Germany and its capital. I would like to apply this idea to Russia and say: of course, we are at the beginning of the road to building a democratic society and a market economy. There are barriers and obstacles on that road that we are to surmount. However, if we leave aside objective problems and occasional ineptness of our own, we will see the beat of Russia's strong, live heart. And this heart is open to true cooperation and partnership."
