I feel bad for Flay. She’s just a young girl who was exposed to so many traumatic events at once, which drove her to the brink of insanity. Because of this, she made many mistakes. It’s human to err, but one of the best aspects of being human is learning from those mistakes, striving to improve oneself, and making amends, especially to those who were hurt. Flay is a flawed character, but human beings are inherently flawed, which makes her a compelling and relatable character. Initially, I hated her because her actions felt so real and raw. However, I grew to understand her circumstances and came to appreciate her character. I no longer hate her. She’s a troubled, helpless soul who needs care and support. Anyone would go insane if they lost everything precious to them and had no place to return to. Anyone would want to lash out at those who took everything away. The important thing is learning to forgive. I hope Flay can forgive herself and Kira.

This game never fails to make me cry. Dorothy never wanted revenge. She just wanted somebody to recognize her sacrifices for the Ark. She was heartbroken because she was abandoned. Her friends moved on, and she couldn’t. That's ok! It just shows how human she is, and how being so human brings out all of her flaws so naturally that it hits perfectly. She just needed headpats and praise. When I first read Ark Guardian, I saw all of her struggles. She was keeping it all together as the leader of the squad, and losing all of her precious people one by one broke her. The wound the Ark gave her was the last straw. I’m so happy I never lost faith in her. I knew she wasn’t meant to be a bad person, she’s a hero and will always be one. This chapter was so emotional as fuck. BURNINGUM IS THE TRUE MVP HERE.
