Nobody here is actually stating one of the most important reasons why they can spin it. They chip off of closely mown, lush fairways with brand new wedges. It’s nearly impossible to spin it off a 2 day old mow with other imperfect conditions.

Yes, they’re playing on the best greens in the world. Not some overcrowded public track

they hit the ball first with their chips they dont use the bouce of the club like the rest of us way higher chance of thinning the ball but thats what creates the back spincatching ball first at that wildly shallow angle
