It’s such a beautiful song & video. It’s a shame the world is so hard on Madonna, she’s released Lots of great material that doesn’t chart well. Look at Bad Girl, Oh Father, Nothing Really Matters, Girl Gone Wild & Medellin. All gorgeous, all flops.

Madonna should have at least 20 number ones. Material Girl, Express Yourself, Into The Groove, Angel, Causing A Commotion, You’ll See, I’ll Remember, Beautiful Stranger, Hung Up, Erotica, Deeper And Deeper, Secret & American Pie all could have easily been number 1’s.

I still hate it, and that album. But... American Life produced the richest set of remixes from any of her albums before or since. I miss the days of multiple remixes on cd.

And it is probably her best song. Maybe it wasn’t released in the right moment.
