Interestingly enough, this proves a few things. 1. Cats know what they look like. 2. The cats are aware that they are looking at a mirror image of themselves on the screen. The way they recognize the unknown face and snap their head around to check it out says it all. Sometimes I don't think we give animals enough credit.

Isn't the "mirror test" something about being self-aware? It sure seems some of these cats are self-aware in a much higher sense than we'd expect.
