Literally just showed a clip where the neutral/advantaged weapons have 100% hit, and the disadvantaged one has 78%, pretty relevant difference

I don't think this is the flex you think it is. But by all means, you do you.

the axe user can miss with a 78, the spear user is getting its expected advantage and Ike is a lord. what point are you trying to make with this?

The weapon triangle isn't crazy important, but using FE9 Hard as evidence for anything is dishonest. It's utterly devoid of strategy regardless.

Probably is not that impactful on the easier games. But the 50% hit against Titania vs the 30% on Ike/Tanith is significant. The perception that swords are evasive comes precisely from the weapon triangle. In PoR where it's not as impactful you'll also find swordmen weak.

You’re providing evidence supporting the case because the axe wielder’s triangle disadvantage gives her a very real chance to miss but phrasing it like it’s a counter point?

You picked one of the easiest games in the series Used an Trained Ike And two of the best units in the game To fight a unpromoted enemy unit This is not the argument you think it is

"Used a trained Ike" what else are you supposed to do with your lord??? "Best units" if I change it to the worst units they're gonna be ass but I can assure its because of their stats and not the weapon triangle lmao I showed a clip with a promoted enemy in the replies lol

This isn't the flex you think it is; the WT is mostly useful in the early game, giving characters who struggle early give a chance to actually do something. Once your units are promoted and facing off against a bunch of generic NPCs, the WT stop mattering.

For the lols, here is another one but with a promoted enemy instead

"The weapon triangle peopl...." *proceed to show off the worst videos on the easiest game of the series* Do the same with early FE6 I dare you. Even better... Throw hand axes at myrmidons early game too while at it

Is someone going to tell him? LOL!

I don't care *that* much at the end of the day, but using three different units with different statlines that would affect hit as well, and also then showing the disadvantaged weapon with 22% less hit than the neutral and advantaged one doesn't really help the point you're making

FW in particular would benefit off the WT because allowing the player to manage the hitrates in methods outside Mars would be a positive good for the game. It's not that hard to understand

Using a game so easy that the weapon triangle (and most strategy aspects) are basically moot means nothing, this shows off PoRs bad enemy quality more than weapon triangle being useless. Now try something like conquest chapter 17 without a bow unit

Why do we let these people post

PoR is stupidly easy

This is the most tourist example you can make.

Stats bro stats

Chapter 22 with level 10 units be so fucking for real right now

I mean... your units are promoted against normal units. So that gives you an edge. Then with levels actually matter... So yeah. Weapon triangle is making the game more strategic when your units are at the same level and rank. As soon as you start to gain levels/rank? matters less

Are you retarded

Yeah if I had a maxed IV and EV charizard agaisnt a magikarp I’m sure I’d achieve a similar result

The actual effects of the weapon triangle are literally on display here. Besides this nothing burger of a clip, do u even know what it does?

I'm absolutely on the "the weapon triangle does not matter all that much" side, but lets be real you chose a terrible example

The hit rate goes under 80% and players will take that into consideration in a game with slow enemy phases, no turnwheel and if it was turn 5+

Literally highlights what it adds like a rtard even when using the easiest game in the series.

In most FE games by the time you reach late game, your stats are so high weapon triangle usually doesn’t matter

The weapon triangle is useful in the beginning but as you approach mid game you can mostly ignore it because your stats should override and weaknesses from the triangle

You have to strategize more with FW than any paper rock scissor before it. It's wild seeing people say it's not as strategic as paper rock scissor.

well i wouldnt use this as an example but i do agree that a game can remove triangle and still be perfectly fine

this is why fates is better 😁

I've seen enough solo characters challenges in various games in the series to know the triangle doesn't really mean crap lol. Myself had barely thought about it since the GBA game with Eliwood lol. A Myrmidon with a sword is still gonna beat a Lance character usually.

I get that WT is not the end all be all of mechanics, but PoR is so painfully easy and dull gameplay wise, its inclusion or exclusion would not have changed anything

Ur fighting unpromoted units in like ch 24 I DARE U TRY THIS ON A WYVERN LORD MY BOY JUST TRY
