I was immune to psychic damage from the SoundEffect because i watched this video before, at 12:44 they go over an unused stamina bar-thing that for some reason would've used a higher pitch weird route cancel sound effect.

That’s not the weird route jingle + it’s behind the scenes footage of it. You can hear this exact jingle in other places throughout the game when something positive happens.

halfbread literally made a video a few days ago that suggested the sound was unused here since it was a placeholder and they immediately got their theory confirmed lol

probably the dev used it like a zelda dungeon sfx

i found this out in a halfbreadchaos vid that released a bit ago. it is sstill left over in the games code so yeah.. toby just confirmed it (obv but yea)

Flinched but then remembered how some YouTube channel(can’t remember but they used their own vessel as a stand in while talking but did or didn’t use TTS) to explain how the weird route cancel was used in TESTING but still in the files for the statue things to this day

its kinda weird that the aborted jingle plays on a gameplay mechanic debuting in a chapter where its impossible to play on the weird route… i mean its probably accidental but still

this is from an unused mechanic that gives you wings in the platform section it lets you jump a bunch of times in the air and stuff its cool, irs entirely reimplementable but its just unused i dont know why they used this sound though

i somehow played all the videos at once on my phone and just didnt care enough to turn them off so i kept reading and was so confused when i heard the weird route jingle
