You’re right. It’s unfortunate that we don’t take stock of how lucky we are and vote the right caretakers in. It baffles me that pretty much everything they do damages us and they get away with it.

In the West, people often take for granted the very values that once made the West so great: human dignity, the rule of law, separation of powers, democracy, and civil liberties. They can’t imagine having to fight for them — that’s why they often don’t understand Ukrainians.
