There is a small detail you deliberately left out. The entire United States 🇺🇸 has had 24 hrs uninterrupted power supply for over 100years. To compare the green energy push by Obama administration through the use of solar panels, to the current move by APC government to abandon the failing and collapsing yet expensive electric grid in Nigeria 🇳🇬 is beyond mischievous.

Ready, set, GO! President Trump's term is off to a GREAT start. What should House Republicans do to help him? RESPOND >>

The white House in America uses solar but you have deliberately and mischievously left out the fact that the entire USA have 24/7 power supply

Mr Onanuga, you are not being sincere with and fair to the Nigerians your government is meant to be serving. You think it is right that that Aso Rock should go off grid, and give itself 24-hour power, at taxpayers cost, while Nigerians cannot afford the cost of grid power, when it is available?

They will change goal post now and tell you the solar panel in USA is different from the one in Nigeria. All those headless mob always find fault in everything. If na Obi use solar, they will say he is cutting cost. They are still suffering from the bitterness of election loss

How about the electricity used by the citizens of the United States of America, is it epileptic like ours? How often does the national grid at the United States of America gets drunk and collapse?

You are indeed a delusional old man

Ali Ndume was so right about you. Please don't sto the nonsense at all. It suits you

Your foolishness is smells like dead rat

Is this in defence of your ineptitude?

1. America currently has 24-hour UNINTERRUPTED power supply for its citizens. 2. Solar power is to be used as an ALTERNATIVE source, not SOLE source to go off grid. 3. It didn’t cost them $6 million dollars to install. 4. They installed a few panels, not build a solar substation. Stop the false equivalence. No one is buying it.

The White House in Washington D.C uses solar power, and Nigeria has opted to use solar power in Aso Rock just like America. American government pays social security to every American. Can we say same about Nigeria? You bloody criminals love to compare, but you hate comparing anything that will benefit the common people as it’s obtainable in other parts of the world. These folks ruling over Nigeria are just smart by half.

Oga you are just old fool

@WhiteHouse uses generators and solar as BACKUP power sources. Their electricity generation majorly comes from the District of Columbia's public utility service. They are not using solar as main power source like you are proposing. An SA to @NGRPresident should know that.

Okay what about the minimum wage?

Cityboy in charge.

The obiidiot children will come for you very soon

Yes the White House in Washington DC uses solar power and they used exactly N10B to install it.

What a lazy, limp excuse! This justification is like comparing a leaking canoe to a luxury yacht simply because they both float. The White House didn’t wake up yesterday and slap panels on its roof with a ₦10 billion budget under the shadow of mass hunger. It didn’t do it to loot or to impress; it did it because infrastructure, planning, and long-term policy exist over there—not thievery masked as innovation. Nigeria’s Presidential Villa, on the other hand, wants to drape itself in “solar glory” while the streets remain dark, hospitals lack basic electricity, and children do homework under the dim flicker of candlelight. It is a mockery—like setting a feast in a palace while the city starves, then tossing crumbs and saying, “but the king eats too.” This isn’t solar power. It’s solar plunder—a gold-plated lie passed off as progress. And it deserves nothing but ridicule.

America also has; Banditry Insecurity Unemployment Kidnapping Boko Haram Fulani herdsmen Corruption Police brutality Election malpractice Lack of infrastructural facilities Poor health system Poor education system Judicial malpractice Tribalism Nepotism Bigotry Etc

There is something called net zero buildings. The ministry of power ought to have suggested this concept to the public before Aso-rock followed up. Nothing wrong with Aso rock going off grid, it is a way to comply with the sustainable development goals. However, PHCN must work!!

kai, there’s no hope.

What is the minimum wage in america compared to nigeria?

The only problem we have in this country is that, the people who are suppose to sit down and learn are the one at the forefront influencing the masses especially the youths and I’m worried about the future of this country.

You guys are shameless

I know they will say this, if power is stable in Nigeria ASO rock doesn't need solar and if ASO cannot afford band A then why force the people to use it

Chief just go to ChatGPT and type “What size of fully off grid solar and battery storage system could you build in Abuja nigeria with $6.5m”

How many times has he US national grid collapse Like that of Nigeria this year? Or should I aske what do you @aonanuga1956 usually give to the national grid to drink that makes it collapse?

Once u want to loot money u find reasons outside you country to buzz online why not show us where president trump went on 2 weeks holiday or where killings have been covered in American, why not show us where a president declaring SOE in the state for 6bmonths
