Smaller eggs come from the new batches of hens the industry has produced in recent months. It only takes 21 days to hatch an egg. It takes about 4 to 6 months to start laying. Small at first but grow larger as she reaches maturity. With all the eggs the hens will be laying (every day and up to every third day), there will be a huge hike in the stocks for chicken farmers. Really good turn around rate for this livestock species. There should have been NO reason for an egg shortage. Thank God Trump came into office and is bringing down the cost of eggs. Its also a wonderful source of protein. God bless the domestic chicken!
