The Wire is not Copaganda, period.

@bomani_jones @JasonAEngland1 They showed the cops as drunks, racists, liars, cheaters, etc. copaganda paints cops as infallible superheroes, which the wire never ever did (cbs has the monopoly on that genre). The whole show is a critique of institutions and human nature. It’s too bad the 5th season stinks

@bomani_jones @JasonAEngland1 Cops of a certain (boomer) age hate that show; younger ones love it

@bomani_jones @JasonAEngland1 I wouldn't say it's copaganda, but a few of the real-life detectives who inspired The Wire and Homcide were truly evil people. The Wire cops weren't truly evil.

@bomani_jones @JasonAEngland1 Man outside of Bunk, Sydnor and Freeman most of the cops were humps or drunks or both.

@bomani_jones @JasonAEngland1 Anyone who thinks it is didn't watch the show. Most of them were either corrupt or incompetent

@bomani_jones @JasonAEngland1 y’all not clear on what copaganda is.

@bomani_jones @JasonAEngland1 I thought the allegation was in regards to abolition not humanization

@bomani_jones @JasonAEngland1 Sopranos better
