Nobody is asking for Caitlin Clark to be protected. People are asking for the rules to be enforced consistently. There’s a difference. The WNBA has every right to let players be physical, but that standard has to apply equally to everyone. When obvious contact is repeatedly ignored, especially against the league’s biggest star, it creates the perception of inconsistent officiating. That’s bad for the players, bad for the fans, and bad for the league. Clark has handled the attention, the physical play, and the pressure. The officials need to handle their job with the same consistency.
