Character assassination. Did no one in the writer's room remember the ENTIRE point of S1?! Free will was always there, and God knew, and even sort of helped things along, in that way. Adam CHOSE not to be the anti-Christ, and so he wasn't. But now God is a kid with a fish bowl?

I always felt like this was a callback/answer to Aziraphale and Crowley's conversation in the Job sequence in season 2. "You're just an angel who goes along with heaven as far as he can." And Aziraphale did go as far as he could, but now he is standing up to God. He can stand up to God is because he isn't alone anymore--he's got Crowley, and he knows it now. And I think that's rather beautiful...

@bushybritches You WERE? Why only talk about Crowley's past? He IS creative and caring, also as a demon, not just the past self he no longer identifies with. And how dare God call Aziraphale names? And Crowley just stands by? What happened to my favourite characters here?

These words finally let Crowley move on from the grudge he had against god and the humans he was never allowed to ask questions about. It was a great scene.
