The work doesn’t stop when the game ends. Michigan State assistant sports turf manager Brian McDougal was back on the field postgame, repairing the natural grass surface at Spartan Stadium. The field is maintained with support from MSU’s world-renowned Turfgrass program.

Rate Bowl sod on the move 🌱! No rest for these crews! After yesterday’s game at Chase Field, the natural grass is already being removed and headed to its next home. Great work by all involved converting the field from artificial to natural grass and back again. Another smooth run all around 💪! #naturalgrass #keepitreal #ratebowl #chasefield #westcoastturf

The grass here at Raymond James Stadium was just laid down yesterday. You can see seams in the field where it hasn't mended together. Between that and the rain, this is definitely not a great surface to play on.

Amidst all the chaos on the field, #Michigan RB coach Tony Alford wasn’t celebrating, but instead was consoling players from Western Michigan and congratulating them on a great game. Class act.

Coach Whit was angry with the officials on the field but he and Kalani still shared a postgame hug on the field. The rivalry will always be intense on both sides, but these two have a true friendship and bond that goes beyond the game. #BYU #Utes #BYUvsUTAH

The grass sits on a 40-inch deep tray that measures 234 feet wide and 403 feet long. The field travels 740 feet when it goes inside/outside the stadium & the entire process takes about an hour. Las Vegas is the only other NFL stadium with similar tech.

Today could be fascinating. MIL win + LAD loss = home field throughout the postseason. GB hosts ATL: the teams from the final NFL game at County Stadium. GB got the must-win, then clinched the next wk vs TB. Today, MIL can clinch home field through the World Series - over TB.

This is excellent OL play from 75. Split zone. Call was for 75 + 77 to double the 2i. 2i slants to the field knocks back inside to help with the slant coming from the opposite side climbs when he doesn’t feel pressure. 75 makes this play go!

Let’s try this again. Due to the weather & time change of today’s guards game, this was the least attended game I’ve seen at both Municipal Stadium & Progressive Field..and I worked at Municipal from 1980-86 when the tribe really sucked. It’s just an observation.

Head grounds keeper Ryan Moy with Kobe inspecting Allianz Field. At one point he dug down under the snow to inspect the grass. Looks like they haven't started to wake up the turf yet. 18 days to our first home game. This weeks warmer weather will help with that.

News: Bo Bichette is here jogging on the field at Yankee Stadium. Very light, but this is the first we’ve seen. He still didn’t look very comfortable walking back to the dugout. #BlueJays
