You lot had been in power for over a decade, and what where we left to show for it? A generation of kids leaving school barely able to string a sentence together, while private schools churn out the future rulers of the universe. You trumpet about “raising standards” while our state schools crumble faster than the red wall. Teachers are drowning in bureaucracy, Ofsted is a glorified blame machine, and there aren’t enough staff to man the classrooms. This is your legacy, Kemi, not some hypothetical dystopia Starmer’s dreaming up. And let’s not forget who kicked this mess off. Labour. Remember their grand promises? Blair’s "education, education, education" mantra? Oh, it sounded good, didn’t it? But behind the soundbites was the same neglect, the same obsession with targets over teaching, the same slow erosion of real standards. They turned schools into exam factories, where creativity and critical thinking were sacrificed at the altar of spreadsheets and league tables. Now Starmer’s lot back into power like knights in shining armour. They’re not knights—they’re vultures circling the carcass of a system both parties have left for dead. What’s Starmer going to do? More diversity training for teachers while the kids can’t read or count? More woke brainwashing in the classroom? Labour’s solution to every problem is a committee, a strategy, and a bucket-load of ideology. Kemi: your party isn’t even that different. You bang on about Labour’s “wrecking ball,” but the Tories have spent years lobbing grenades into the system and hoping for the best. You’ve underfunded schools, ignored teacher shortages, and presided over a decline in literacy and numeracy that would make a Victorian headmaster weep. If this is the best the Tories and Labour can offer—decades of blame-shifting, neglect, and mediocrity—then both of you deserve to be swept aside. Britain deserves better than this tired old Punch and Judy act. We need leaders with backbone, vision, and a genuine love for this country, not career politicians squabbling over the scraps of their own failures. So don’t give me the Twitter theatrics, Kemi. Own your party’s part in this disaster. And Starmer, if you’re listening, stop pretending you’re the saviour when your lot helped dig the hole and are now making a crater. Both of you are out of excuses. The British people deserve more than this circus of incompetence.

Rubbish, 14 years of Tory governments: Forced schools into becoming academies against the wishes of governors, headteachers and parents. Had sky high levels of absenteeism. A far too narrow curriculum. A lack of investment so we have crumbling school buildings.

Labour's hugely damaging, ideologically driven plans for our schools is nothing short of educational vandalism. In the name of out-dated politics, they're introducing policies that will actively damage children's education, their life chance, their opportunities.

I said it before, and I'll say it again. Labour wants to build a society where the talented and the hard-working fund the lives of the lazy and the mediocre. And it starts with destroying a merit and excellence-based education system.
