Open letter to all the good people on the planet from Ukrainians living in Russia-occupied Oleshky, Kherson region. “Help!!! SOS !!! We are residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, we appeal to the people of the entire civilized democratic world. First of all, we want to thank all the caring people who help Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor, and those countries and their residents who gave shelter to Ukrainians who fled the war. We also want to remind you that Ukraine is not only minerals and subsoil, Ukraine is living people... People who want to live in peace and harmony on their native land, to work, build, give birth. People who dream of peace and tranquility, of meeting their relatives, whom this damn war separated them from. People of faith, people of truth, people of common sense - do not let Ukraine and its people be torn apart. Do not let a handful of greedy tyrants destroy and plunder democracy and freedom of speech in their independent countries. How can you live in a country where they decide for you what to watch or what to listen to? In the occupied territories, people disappear without a trace. At the beginning of the war, we went to rallies against Russian troops and against Russia. We did not leave our homes for three days when they held a referendum for joining Russia 'under the barrel of a machine gun’. 🫂Chef Khaled made his delicious yellow rice for the camp today, my friends, and people were very happy when they received their meals because it's a favorite for many. I wanted to tell you we are working daily to distribute food and water for the camp, and we do this even when I do not mention it in my updates. These poor people rely on us to help them survive, and we wish we could do more for them in these cruel and miserable times. It is awful to see the horrific pictures of people living in tents who have nothing to save them from a bomb or a fire. My heart breaks for the animals too, my friends, because they are also helpless and they are suffering terribly in these conditions. I want to help them, my friends, and I can do this only with your generosity and help. If you could, will you please consider donating and sharing my message? Yesterday in Kyiv, we officially opened the Mission of Democratic Belarus in Ukraine. This is an important step toward stronger, more systematic cooperation between democratic Belarus and Ukraine. I am grateful to Ukrainian officials, including Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis, for joining us, and to everyone who helped make this Mission possible. We must do more to support Ukraine: politically, informationally, through cooperation with Ukrainian institutions, by standing with Belarusian volunteers and fighters, and by supporting Belarusians living in Ukraine. This Mission will make our work more consistent and visible. It will be a platform for dialogue, practical cooperation, and support. It will help Ukrainians know whom to work with, and Belarusians in Ukraine know where to turn. I wish Sviatlana Shatilina success as Head of the Mission, representing the democratic forces of Belarus in Ukraine. A free Belarus and a free Ukraine are part of the same future.

Clearence of Ukraine is going to take years of slow, meticulous work by mine action teams to make areas safe again so people can start to rebuild their lives without living in fear of their next step. As we enter 2026, our NGO moving full steam ahead to do our part for a mine-free Ukraine. If you'd like to support our mission see and help us make the world a safer place.
